Rays take the AL East.

Blues spank Borient.

Skins slap the Cowpokes in their last regular season game at the cattle shed.

Richard Dawkins - you don't know sh!t.

And a cracking game too. Fair play to your boys.

It really was fun to watch - after dominating the 'Boys in the Riggins/Theismann years, the 'Skins have been their whipping boys of late, and much as I am a blind optimist I didn't have much hope of a victory. It was an excellent match-up, I particularly enjoyed Shawn Springs doing a number on TO in his Daddy's old yard, and Rock Cartwright causing a scene at the end of the game.

I realise these things even themselves out, but it's a shame that only three of the NFC East teams can make the play-offs, as you could reasonably argue that these are the four best teams in the NFC. It's the same deal in MLB this year, where the AL East is stacked with four teams good enough for the postseason - but that does have the added bonus of keeping the Yankees out.

How about that Jets-Cardinals game? 56-35? Jets scoring 34 points in the 2nd after a scoreless 1st? Old man Favre throwing for six TDs? Eh? Just seen the highlights on Sky - exciting but at the same time terrible.

And the Bills move quietly on to 4-0.

The Bengals are also 4 and 0, oops 0 and 4.

How the **** do you lose to the Browns? To be 0-4 in the AFC North takes some doing. The AFC North is ridiculously weak this year, only a couple of seasons on from being the strongest in the league. The Browns were a fluke last season and their struggles this season are no surprise. Even without Carson Palmer the Bengals should have ended Derek Anderson's time as a starter.

Another huge road win for the Skins in the NFC East has them sitting pretty at 4-1, but the Giants looked simply awesome in destroying a poor Seattle team, and have to be the favourites still for the NFC East and probably the Conference as a whole. One thing to consider is that the Skins have now played all of their divisional rivals on the Road, and their next three opponents are a combined 1-11, so 7-1 at the halfway point looks very possible, if not probable. Dallas struggled badly against the Bungles and the cancer that is TO will destroy their hopes. Washington versus the Giants at Fedex Field looks like being an NFC Championship preview, and the Skins need to win to show they can live with the Champs, especially after the humbling in week 1.

In the AFC, I still like Pittsburgh, but they need to get healthy. Buffalo showed they were nowhere near the real deal in losing heavily to Arizona, but Tennessee passed their big test in Baltimore. Denver will be in the play-offs but lack the defence for any sort of run. The Pats just can't win it all without Brady and the Jets have too many holes - I like the Dolphins to shock the world and win the East, and then get buried alive by the Titans/Steelers in the play-offs. If you think I've forgotten about the Colts, I have, but deliberately.

My mate was bigging up the Chargers chances for this year now with Brady out.

Then they go and lose to the Dolphins.

I'll tell him not to give up the day job just yet :D

Dallas struggled against my Bungles, but so did the Giants, and they've been the team of the season so far.

Pittsburgh don't have the offensive line and they are fast running out of RBs with Mendenhall on IR and Fast Willie Parker banged up. They'll still win the division because its ****-poor but they shouldn't do anything in the play-offs..

The big upsets were though the Dolphins and the Falcons both winning. Both teams are making big strides forward after some wretched seasons.

Massive game for the Pats this weekend away at San Diego. Finally got around to watching the highlights of the win at San Francisco - 5 sacks on Cassel and we still won... Hopefully he'll keep gaining confidence as the season progresses - big test for him Sunday night.

The Rams change their coach and then beat Washington and Dallas. The Giants get hammered in Cleveland. Now Washington beats Cleveland but only just. This is a crazy season. But those Titans keep winning - can they keep it going? I wouldn't bet on anything in the NFL this year.

Very composed and confident Cassel last night against Denver. Fantastic victory against a bogey team. Randy Moss was something else as well.

Bring on St. Louis next week.

With regards the Titans, i'd say they'll beat the Colts next week. Surely the steam will run out in the next couple of weeks though. Methinks they are peaking a tad too early...hopefully.

How brilliant was that Wembley game? One of the best sporting events I've ever been to, absolutely fantastic!

Didn't go, I want to go next year though, hopefully they'll get the Bears over (or failing that the Colts or Titans).

If the Bears came over I'd be in dreamland.

A brilliantly entertaining game yesterday, a proper shoot-out, some cracking TDs and San Diego nearly coming back from the dead.

I'm even willing to pass over the terrible queues for the tube and Joss Stone's horrible warbling through the national anthem!

I went along to Wembley yesterday and the whole occassion was fantastic. Having never really supported an NFL side, just kept a vague eye on the Giants, Bears and Colts, I decided to formally adopt the Saints as my team. I now have my Saints hoodie, event scarf, freebie flag as pledge of my support, as well as lots of pictures of the Saintsations (particualry when they were up close trying to flog their 2009 calender in the concourse before the game).

Game was very open and some great attacking play, some of the catches made were superb. Thought both QB's had good game but the defences were as open as ShrimperZone FCs second team on a sunday morning!

Also, first time I've been to Wembley and must say was extremely impressed with the stadium and all the facilities there. The legroom was great and the view was superb from where I was in level 1 in the north west corner.

Chatting to a few people yesterday, I heard that Redskins vs. Cowboys was a done deal for next year. Take that for what you will.

We were towards the front of the upper tier, right next to the East video screen. Good game, if not the result I was hoping for, and it's always good to get value for your money with a game that goes down to the last play.

A couple of other random things. The description of the cheerleaders as "professional working women" got a few sniggers around us - must be something lost in translation. Not sure about the half time show I have to say - how can you have a proper Mardi Gras celebration without so much as a single nipple?

I would love for you to be right - but I can't see that happening. There was a lot of talk about 'taking games from the home fans' being the problem with regular season NFL games happening in London - if they took the most heated rivalry in the NFL away from two of the best supported teams (Washington's home games are sold out for the next fifty years or something ridiculous like that), there would be uproar. I think we need to be content with less glamourous fixtures, and hope they produce spectacles like we saw yesterday.
