Most dislked Blues player ever.

Having given this considerable thought from a not so shortlist I award my most disliked Southend player award to:

Steve Hatter. I think he just beat Gordon Connelly by virtue of his moustache.

Surely you mean you just didn't rate these players, which is fair enough.. but there must be specifics for you to hate them

No, I rwally did hate the vast majority of those. Not only were they garbage, but they either didn't want to be here, couldn't be **** to consistently put efort in, or were here to pick up over-inflated pay packets. I suppose in a way, Mark Tinlker can be aded to the list. People will say he was quite good for us, and I agree...but compare how he played with us to how he played up at Hartlepool in the next few seasons, and his form with us seems a bit below par. He was brilliant at Hartlepool in L1/D2, so it can't hav been anything to do with a lack of ability - just a lack of desire to do well for this club. He was another northener who didn't really want to play down this way but liked his wages. And I didn't like that.

i almost forgot.
mike marsh... not for his football but for his blatancy
northern away match .i cant remember where it was but we lost easily...decided to go to churchills or turtle bay... andy thompson and marsh were in there...had a good chat with thommo...v nice bloke...couldnt seem to get marsh into a conversation... but ended up having a pee next to him in the toilets..spoke whilst washing hands and then he blatantly pulled a wrap of talcum powder from his pocket and snorted it... to say i was gobsmacked was an understatement... remebering these were the days even b4 e's etc .. i think the most outrageous thing around was cannabis....anyway i digress.. i stood there not really knowing where to look..but bootom line was that i just looked at him and said "see u next tuesday"

If accurate then that seems to sum up my gut feelings about the bloke and confirm why I disliked him.

Was it Paul Bryne from celtic, had one good season, put on about two stone, got fed up and went back to Ireland.

That would be the one. Had a great few seasons with Celtic and a good first season with us, before becoming a part of the booze culture at Southend along with Whelan and Marsh and adding on two stones in weight.

Yep, that'd be him. Had a great few seasons with Celtic and a good first one with us before succumbing to the Blues Booze Culture along with Whelan and Marsh and adding on two stones in weight.

It's a bit hit or miss chatting to players on nights out. In years gone by I always tried to initiate a conversation with a player if I saw him in a pub/club. It can be great if they are friendly - I remember chatting to Damon Searle a couple of times whilst being completely sh!t faced (he was even more drunk than me too!) and he was a really top bloke. However in that era I saw Tinkler, Connelly, Tolson, Morley, Booty etc... out on the town and they were horrible, in particular Tinkler who was a complete to$$er. I felt gutted and cheated by these guys who I supported week in week out. It was a huge relief when Webby arrived a few weeks later and wielded the axe!

Thesedays, I don't try to engage in a conversation with players if I see them out, normally just a pat on the back or 'keep up the good work mate' is a safe option. It's more fun concentrating my efforts on the ladies instead ;)

James did u really have to say this 3 times to get your point across ? :-)

COME ON U SHRIMPERS

Danny Greaves brother, the name escapes me.

What a complete ****** he really was. Knocked my pint out of my hand once in the Shrimper Bar. When confronted he had the sheer nerve to say 'Do you know who I am?

'Yes, a tosser who owes me a beer'

Had me thrown out then followed me to the turnstiles and advised a steward that I had attempted to assault him and I should be refused entry to the ground. It resulted in me missing the game and him nursing bruised b@lls after a well aimed left foot. Truely a complete sh!thead.

Ooooh, sorry mate, only just realised I did that! My computer was playing up and saying that it could not display the page. So I kept pressing post to get it to work! Obviously it lied, because clearly, it did post the message. :minger:

Andy Greaves. They had a sister Freda.

I play football with Danny's son Sam and his sister Mitzi's two sons Tommy and James, who is coincidentley playing for Maldon Town next season so i'll go see him get marked out of the game by Barrett and Clarke lol. Freda? never heard of her!?

Sada N'Diaye would have to be the most inept player I have ever seen and he shades it for me over Ben Lewis (can't believe he hasn't been mentioned yet) and Gordon Connelly.
