Most dislked Blues player ever.

For our older viewers..........Willie Coulson, overweight, unfit, lazy, barrel ar$ed pi$$ head.

Cue an MTS Boere rant........

for me , the most disappointing was Tony Currie, heard the big name ex international had signed and was really looking forward to seeing hime grace the RH turf , only for him to pull a hamstring putting his boots on (or something like that)

Most hated -- John Keeley

Got to agree about Keeley, always remember him getting sent off to the huge relief of the crowd, and Keith Mercer going in goal, at least he filled it better than Keeley.

Dishonourable mention for Billy Kellock.

Anyone remember seeing (which was more than he could do at the time) Keeley fumbling round in the penalty area trying to find a lost contact lens during a match?

Whilst watching Southend it has to be Mark Prudhoe. He could have turned his back to the game and saved more shots. No one had any confidence in him in the defence and at times it was just comical.

If i can choose one ex player outside of playing for southend then its Andy Dixon, who i had the "pleasure" of playing for and his greatest tactical team talk was to call the team a bunch of "f'n c's".

Chris Ramsey, possibly the only defender ever to have made a clearance off his own cross-bar. Utter rubbish!

I also recall his game for Brighton back at the hall, I seem to remember him clebrating a penalty save whilst the ball was still in play....

Ineffectual maybe, but I never had him down as lazy.

I remember differently, I remember a friday evening league 2 game against scunthorpe a couple of years back which we won 4-2 I think? he got caught in posession so frequently it was a joke! No fight at all once the ball was lost, had a "i'll wait till it comes to me again" attitude.

Different memories then, he never struck me as our most potent forward, and probably wouldn't have been had he been playing for St Winnifreds 2nd team. I seem to recall though that, in spite of his ineptitude, a few of the fans still liked him for his attitude (just as long as he was nowhere near the first team I may add) That's not to say that i believe he covered every inch of the pitch, just feel the lazy thing's a bit harsh.

All opinions though, isn't it? ;)

Michael Ricketts for me. I honestly believe if he had got himself fit and motivated (There was no doubting his ability) last season we probably have stayed up.

Honourable mentions to Emberson and Bramble though.

Yep, Fair play, each to their own and all that :p

I'll stick to my gun's on the lazy part though.

For me it used to be a tight run between Gordon Connelly and Andrew Harris.

Now, however, it is Fat Waster Ricketts without question - a man if every there was who really does deserve to find himself on the footballing scrap-heap. There are millions, sir, who would give their right hand to have had the talent and opportunities that you did. That you had what you had and have become what you have become shows nothing more than a distinct lack of intelligence, drive and a penchance for anything like hard work. Words cannot capture the contempt I have for you.

What an impossible question to answer, the list of useless idiots we have had playing for this team is endless and everytime I think of someone I remember somebody else that was worse.

kevin o connell...ex millwall, escape to victory etc....always had that been there done it look on his face.. but what finally tipped me over the edge was sitting in the east greens where my s ticket was just in front of where the injured/dropped players sit. i cant remember who we were playing but it was the season we had austin and chris p as full backs. we had missed 7 pens on the spin and dean austin stepped up and missed another one at a crucial stage of the match.. ****to started laughing (fairly loudly). fair to say he had a volley of abuse from all around.
a complete minge

Wasn't it Kevin O'Callaghan?

For me, Paul Roberts was a player I despised. He wasn't only crap, he was violent crap and spent half his time getting booked or sent off. Having said that, I could also state a case for Derek Hall, Andy Dixon, John Walker, Derek Payne (nasty piece of work) and Phil Gridelet.

So many choices...

I'm surprised that there are only two votes for Jeroeo Boere so far. Make that three now though. What an absolute disgrace it was that this man could milk our club for thousands and thousands of pounds every week. Probably our highest paid player ever and yet never bothered to do anything more than cruise through games sulking when someone had the cheek to pass the ball to anyone else on the pitch. I wish I could call him rubbish but annoyingly he was a very talented player and could have gone down as one of the great Southend strikers had he been in the least bit arsed.

Plus I think he got a pint out of Kenny on holiday once and that is more than I've ever managed. What a b*****d.

I don't know why you say goodbye, I say Jeroen..... never before or since have i seen a bigger attitude problem from someone with very little right to have one, than that displayed by Mr. Boere. Complete contempt for the people who paid his (substantial) wages. Grrr.

Beat me to it!

Jeroen Boere. The worst return on any investment we've ever made in a player in Blues shirt, with only Keith Dublin & Michael Ricketts running him close... every second of his time at Roots Hall took the p*ss out of us as a club and us as a set of fans.

Matt
