Surely there has never been a finer sight than fat Willie blundering down the wing in 1974, his albino unkempt tufts flowing in the wind as he..........fell **** over tit.

Never will we see his like again, as no one today, not even the most wit-less Sunday pub manager, would ever allow him to fall onto a football pitch in their club's colours. But it was different in the 70's.

And he never really did us any harm. We were going nowhere in '74 and Coulson didn't disturb the scene.

So it can't be Willie.

The bloke was a complete long haired grease ball disgrace. Mostly employed it seemed to mouth off so much it distracted the ref from Donut's legendary blunderings, Roberts came on the scene Xmas 88, saw us relegated to Div 4, and somehow kept in the team until late the following season, only cgetting pushed out in Feb so we could go on an achieve promotion. He is the undoubted winner on this thread.

Billy Kellock-Had the talent but was the laziest player I have ever seen at Southend. Got sent off for punching an opponent in the 1st half of his last game for us, was thankfully sacked by the club after that.

Richard Young-most useless player I have ever seen at Southend.

Eric Steele- useless Goalkeeper let in a huge amount of goals in thankfully his brief career for Southend.
