Most dislked Blues player ever.

Where shall i start?

Greame Jones
Gordon Connelly
Scott Houghton
Neil Tolson
Mark Prudhoe
Chris Ramsey
David Whyte

Tolson was Alan Little's 1st signing.
I always liked him.Hit a Hat-Trick in his 1st game for us (pre-season v Palace).
He had scored 7 goals by mid october before picking up injuries that kept him out for the remainder of the season.
Don't think we ever saw the best of him IMO.

John Keeley for trying belittle me for the amusement him & his mates. I'm a bit bigger now mate & you wouldn't want to try it! ******!!

Derrick Parker pushes him close. I've never forgiven him for missing those chances at RH & Anfield, when both games were 0-0.

Tes Bramble......................lazy,stroller,bloody disgraceful watching him
watching the game go by.He had enough skill but just would not run the channels.

As Fred found out in the Championship,if you stand there long enough.......
...you'll get marked! But for Tes,what a waste and i hated him for not bringing to the team what he should've,especially when we were really struggling.

I would rather Kellock than Lil Fuccello (or however you spell it) who was also knocking around at that time.....

I've never really hated a player, but the one I have disliked the most is probably Boere. Not for the reasons everyone else has given though. I don't think he was as lazy and arrogant as everyone else does. I think his problem was that he was playing in a simply awful team that thought a punt anywhere upfield was good enough, even if it was 30m away from him. What was he supposed to do? He would never have got there!

The reason I dislike him is because he had the audacity to punch Andy Thomson during a match.

Really - How come...???

I don't believe he ever gave 100% or ever really gave a toss about games. His demeanour always struck me as that of someone who was doing us all a big favour by simply turning up. Of course, he was far more skilled than most in the team at the time but I believe he was only here for an easy payday and regular p1ss ups with his old pal Ron.

This thread suits me...only started supporting in 1996, when I was 8 or 9, so a lot of the God-awful players of the last decade are clear in my mind:

Paul Williams
Mark McNally
Paul Byrne (good first season, but 1996/97, fat, boozing waste of space)
Andy Rammell
Sada N'Diaye
David Whyte
Scott Houghton
Neil Campbell
Neville Roach
Abdy Harris
Gordon Connelly
Yemi Abiodun
Jason Harris
Tony Richards
Barrington Belgrave
Graeme Jones
Dominic Foley
Carl Emberson
Michael Husbands
Tes Bramble

Take your pick from those...

Surely you mean you just didn't rate these players, which is fair enough.. but there must be specifics for you to hate them

McSweeny, closely followed by Bramble, and then Jason Lee for such a ********* hairstyle.
Ask in 5 years time and I could add Lewis Hunt.

An excellent selection but barely covers the poo we have had at this club.We have on many occasions had players that you would find hard to have as a reserve in your Sunday Pub seconds,

i almost forgot.
mike marsh... not for his football but for his blatancy
northern away match .i cant remember where it was but we lost easily...decided to go to churchills or turtle bay... andy thompson and marsh were in there...had a good chat with thommo...v nice bloke...couldnt seem to get marsh into a conversation... but ended up having a pee next to him in the toilets..spoke whilst washing hands and then he blatantly pulled a wrap of talcum powder from his pocket and snorted it... to say i was gobsmacked was an understatement... remebering these were the days even b4 e's etc .. i think the most outrageous thing around was cannabis....anyway i digress.. i stood there not really knowing where to look..but bootom line was that i just looked at him and said "see u next tuesday"

Lewis Hunt.....

What the fascination is with this man I just don't know. (the term 'utility' notwithstanding)
He has played over 100 times for the club for being a mediocre player in my book.

I was v peed off when we got rid of players like Bentley & Jupp but kept Hunt.

The big E explosion in the UK was around the summer of 1988. :)

Sad story though- Mike Marsh was one of the best players I have seen playing for Southend. He was a very elegant midfielder with a superb range of passing. Pure class- just a shame he had halfwits like Whelan and Martin as managers.

Everything starts with an E.

Well if we're moving from players that you simply hated to players that were just pure cr@p, then the list grows. Mark Salter et al can be added to the list. John Nielsen wasn't much cop. Bar the Torquay away game in the FA Cup, Russ Williamson wasn't great. Gareth Risbridger anyone? Dean Holness? The list goes on. As I said, before 96, I was too young to remember anyone who played for us, so I can't really comment on the rest of the poo that played for us.
