Drink responsibly though, of course. :)
I heard that ron has promised the trust an exclusive press conference
Well if this is true then this is fantastic news.
However, assuming the money was forwarded to us as part of the deal to sell Roots Hall, it does mean that there is no going back now on the move to FF. If for any reason it doesn't happen then we will have jumped out of the frying pan into an even bigger fire because without FF we no longer have a ground.
I look forward to the club's statement...
Believe it money paid in full and not the £690,000 that was owed

As i understand it this isn't true because as i believe is it, nothing else can be built on the groun where Roots Hall is until Southend have another ground when we arestill a club. I think this is priceless as with Ron not currently claiming rent, (which i hope will continue) we could in theory stay at Roots Hall for the forseeable. In practice no, because money wise it wouldn't work but i don't think we will end up homeless. Although i am sure one of the more knowledgeable lot will tell me i am wrong?
Do you think it might be the reasons stated in your post might be part of the cause of our problems ? We have probably over-spent on the areas highlighted and if cuts need to be made it may be the youth set-up that is one area that may be looked at.

Well that is going to bugger up the parking for everybodyAt the AGM, it was stated that the main building for Sainsburys was on the east side of the roots hall site and that building will commence in the carpark area while we still play at roots hall. My guess is that once that starts, its gonna be mighty difficult to stay put.
Just hope and pray that Fossetts starts VERY soon!

Bit confused. If he could get £2.1m today, presumably he could have got one third of that a couple of weeks ago (possibly on less onerous terms) and saved all this hassle?
