Breaking News Monies paid to HMRC..Now on the OS

Scriv - any chance you can get a photo of Ron gurning, with his pen over a chequebook - in the style of a player signing for the club (*)...?

;)

(*After all, since no one has signed for us in such a long time, we're feeling a bit deprived of a good gurn...)

Great news, all safe and sound for now.

I still think this club is in deep trouble though, i still believe players coming in will be minimal. There is just too much else outstanding not just the HMRC, if we couldnt afford players wages with only 13 full time pros last week nothing changes this week, let alone bring more wages to the table. Surely Ron has to make cut backs in other areas of staff and not playing staff.

All Ron has done by BORROWING this money is how can i put this, like sticking a plaster over someone who's had a triple heart bypass operation.

2.135 million pounds is an awfully big sticking plaster though.

Oh I love this website and all you people on it. The brilliant wit has got me through the last week. No matter how dark the clouds I can rely on you lot to still take the p*ss & come up with stuff like this that makes me laugh out loud.

I thank you from the heart of my bottom

How do you know that

a: He has BORROWED it - the likelyhood, surely is that it is payment up front from one or more of our RH/FF "clients", and

b: That he has only managed to raise just enough to sort HMRC and nothing more?

My RTS belief is that this was the "pinch point" of the whole project and Saint Ron has finessed it. See the post from Kingshrimper in another thread for a similar take.

You just ooze positivity Craig :stunned:

But how do you know he has borrowed it? He may have sold something to get the money (shares, land, house, wife, kids - who knows?).

Either way, the situation remains - we are losing **** loads of money just operating the club day-to-day and all I can see this has done as kept the wolves from the door until the next time.

Glad we have paid it, but still very worried about the club. The emargo will probably be lifted on Monday, but as the other poster said - how can we afford any extra wages?!

Be looking at subsidised (100% wages) loans from the Prem League again I guess.

I think the point is, it doesnt matter if he has borrowed £2.1m, £21m or £210m - sooner or later, the way we are being operated as a club, that money will run out.

We desperately need this ground now and hope it does the trick of stabilising.

As MTS and Elstree eluded to in another thread there are still many questions to be answered.

In fact I would go as far as to say ..There are more questions than answers la la la :zip:

:D :D What's the opposite of RTS (Rose Tinted Spectacles)? Honestly Paul, cheer up, have a beer, put the pitchfork back in the cupboard until next time Ron annoys you, and rejoice that we aren't 10 points worse off and waiting for the assett stripping to commence!
