Migrant "children" from Calais

So what do you think we should do when we find out the 'child' sitting in the classroom and placed with a foster family is not really 15 but in fact 22. As happened in Kent recently.

That's a revelent question. The answer, my answer, is drag him out of the classroom and pack him back to his country of origin.

Love and kisses, Angry lorry driver.

I think it's to do with 'revelent' and re-arranging the letters. For it to work I guess it should be 'relevent' but it is actually spelt 'relevant' so all of what I have typed could be rubbish!!!

I think actually, it's "to do with"......:winking:

Nope, still none the wiser.

This is getting horribly convoluted. In my post to you I left out the word 'do'. OBL was fresh out of the knife box and pointed it out. I then tried to be a smart arse and edited the word 'do' back in. If you ignore all that nonsense, then you used 'revelent' which Gremlin then introduced the anagram thing on. The actual word should have been 'relevant' but he was trying to get an anagram out of 'revelent'. There you go, clear as mud.

Oh yeah.........I think.

I'm no expert, but my argument is this.

If people or families are genuinely fleeing for there lives in a war torn country then they should find the nearest safest refuge.

If you chose to move through multiple countries with an end game of being in Britain , them surely you lose not only the respect of your plight but become someone who is trying to exploit.

The majority of the people in the camp put themselves there for refusing to try other countries on there way.

You have to ask why?

It's because Britain is seen as some holy grail in terms of what benefits can be sought. It's not just housing and free health care it's education. All of which puts a huge strain on a already critical system.

Why have France not housed these people for years. It's simple because France do not want to deal with a problem that they don't have to. It would be easier to just let them all through to the UK.

*** and MK and their ilk will be smashing a rolling pin over their nut after reading the above.

Most people gravitate towards destinations where they have family or friends, and as we have had historical contacts with the world at large, it should be of no surprise that there are many who wish to come here. Our welfare system is generous but not as much as many people think, most nations offer similar overall packages. We currently stand at 10th as a source country amongst the 35ish OECD members and we have the 5th or 6th largest economy so we are well placed to offer residency. The issue has been that there has been a sudden influx caused by turmoil in a number of countries and this has led to a perception of being over run. The French have taken in more people on humanitarian grounds than we have so I do not think they are shirking their responsibilities. If people turned up here and said they wanted to go to France, how much objection would we raise.

France have suffered numerous terrorist attacks in the past two years, helping those very people you mention hasn't done the French much good.
