Migrant "children" from Calais

The piece stated various crimes which I described,The German Government are trying their hardest to cover up the mini crime wave, even insisting that police reports do not use the word "rape"...One police force refused in the case of a student raped by 3 men..the men all Afghan were arrested and seemingly "vanished" from the town in question...very odd.

Police officers admitted they feared arresting any migrants because the officers are abuse assaulted and spat on,the culprits are always let off at the police station without any charge, these arrests are not part of the 400,000...this figure relates to arrest and charged with whatever crime.

I think what the piece has done is cleverly manipulated shocking headlines and statistics.

The 400k figure relates to only one crime and one crime alone, it is not a series of different crimes within one figure.
so for example rapes, burglary etc were not contained within that figure they were in addition too.

It would have been virtually impossible for anyone other than a migrant to commit the crime, which is why I would expect it raised such little attention when the 400 k figure was released.

Posted from the most racist country in Western Europe. Still I suppose you enjoy the 'perks' of racism.

On the contrary,I've found most Spanish and Catalan people I've come into contact with, to be very accepting of "outsiders" like myself.

Perhaps it helps that I'm gainfully employed, speak pretty good Spanish (and understand Catalan).

Do you EVER post anything other than links from the Guardian? What a short sighted and blinkered life you must lead.

Anyway, on topic. I'd like to know.

A. Where these 8, 9, 10 and 11 year old (mostly African) 'children' get the money to pay the smugglers to flee their own country in the first place. It ain't cheap you know.

B. How did these 'children' manage to flee war torn Syria and Afganistan on their Jack Jones? Or did, as is more likely, their parents all of a sudden remember they were a child missing when they did eventually manage to get their arses to the UK.

C. Who here on SZ agrees that they did the right thing in ignoring their first safe port of entry and continued on in their quest to get to the UK?

D. Why, from quite a few of photos and videos I've seen, does it seem like the vast majority of these 'migrants' are young men between the ages of 17 and 30.

What do you expect to gain from having the source?

I have no idea whether the claims by mrsblue are true or not. To me the figure of 400k arrests seem rather high, over a year that is more than 1000 arrests of just migrants per day.

If the figures are true as mrsblue claims, then it is up to her to post a link from a credible source.

As are the Spanish people I know living in Essex, I was out with 2 of them for lunch the other week. Otto is a solicitor and Anna is GP on Canvey. Gainfully employed, speak English and accept our culture. Just the sort of people we Brits love.

When I was living in Westcliff about 12 years ago there was an Iraqi working in the local corner shop. He was run out of town by some angry locals. Still if you go offering Class A drugs to any of your female customers best not do it to my girlfriend at the time, or my neighbours 15 year old daughter amongst others.

You have been away for so long you have forgotten that us Brits have a sense of fair play

The figure posted by Mrs blue is 2k below the actual, so I can verify that the figure is relatively accurate.

So even if a link was provided by me ....would it make Mrs B right?

The short answer is no, the 400 k figure is not for total crime committed by immigrants in Germany but for one specific crime, the total figure is higher.

So this figure has been manipulated, and taken out of context in the facebook link read by Mrs B.

Nail on head !

In addition,

When these migrants were fleeing by boat did they all take a suitcase each ,after all they always managed to look smart with the latest threads worn with pride,so clean too, maybe the camp had a free launderette.

I still cannot fathom out how 25 people can live in some hidden ditch, why has the media ceased worrying about the ditch,it's not fair.

There has always been an undercurrent of racism in British society against the BAME community, dating back at least to the Notting Hill race riots in the 50's,exacerbated by Enoch Powell''s racist remarks in the 60's.

I would suggest, this has made more acceptable and extended by UKIP's more recent election successes, along with the leave vote in the referendum, to what has become an anti-immigration crusade in recent years.

FYI,I make fairly regular short trips back to the UK,at least two or three times a year.

Whereas the racism in Spain is far more current, booing black footballers or mocking Lewis Hamilton. Young British black lads have to be extra careful on holiday as the Spanish police like to drag them up an alley and give them a few slaps.

Since you mention Westcliff in your post,I suggest you pop into The Plough for a drink when you can.If you do, you'll see that the old public bar area is now pretty much exclusively patronised by members of the BAME community, whereas the old saloon bar is exclusively white. That's the sort of "unofficial" segregation that was institutionalised in the American South until the mid-60's and in South Africa until much more recently.Where's the "fair play in that?"

We've been through this on here before.

The LH incident you mention is hardly current.
While deplorable, it happened back in 2008,IIRC (which I do).
Likewise with the booing of black footballers. It's something I've seen/heard myself on at least two occasions in Spain but neither of them were that recent.
I've also seen black footballers booed at Root Hall and various London grounds, (especially W.Ham), back in the day.
I imagine we can agree that racism, wherever it takes place, should have no place in football, F1 or indeed in any other sport.

PS. What were The Specials like?

When is the UK going to face up to its responsibilies with repect to these child refugees from the Calais camp?

Yes because the migrants don't like responsibilities by the sound of it. They have to pick 4 kg of fruit in the afternoon each day. That's terrible. Lets get them over here so they don't have to do any work and we will provide everything for them. Why cant they stay in france? By the sound of it they've got a job already and France is really nice I go on holiday there every year!
