Breaking News Matt Harrold

didn't Harrold end his SUFC career with a broken nose against Yeovil ...... and some people were still booing him ... oh well

This is what he said to chrisblore

how did I do that? He pulled up when I was nowhere near him. I have not done anything wrong

Apart from stamping on him you b@st@rd

Also, claims that he ran towards the away fans ..... hopefully the highlights will clear everything up.

If it turns out that Mohsni does indeed have multiple fractures, it is pretty damning evidence against Matt Harrold. I didn't shout abuse at Harrold today because I didn't think that he did anything deserving of abuse when he was at Southend but I can see why people were after his behaviour today.

Also elbowed Chris Barker full in the face in the first half which should have been a red in itself but none of the incompetent officials saw it. How he only got a yellow for what he did to Mohsni I'll never know, if it's off the ball then it's violent conduct and a red surely?

As to Mohsni, Sturrock said in his after match interview his ankle was up like a balloon - would that happen with "multiple leg fractures"? We really can't do without him, and where was Phillips today?

My old man fractured his ankle some years back and it was "up like a balloon" aswell so it's quite possible. If there was going to be a card there it had to be red for violent conduct.

It would swell up like a balloon with a single fracture, multiple fractures, ligament injuries, muscles tears, tendon tears. Pretty much everything. Unless Southend have a x ray machine hidden in their changing rooms i would suggest that the steward was talking out of his bum

Harrold's always been petulant and a bit niggly, but I also think he's improved as a player since he left us. He led their line well and our centre backs struggled with him for the most part. Decent player at this level and I'd have him in our team on todays performance.

I'll cover this later, but Matt has no angst against Southend despite what happened in his time here, and some of what was directed at him today was a disgrace. Some abuse after the whistle when he was walking off the pitch overstepped the mark of what was acceptable and, when he went over, those responsible soon buggered off. Cowards.

A select few, allegedly, also deemed it necessary to throw coins at the lad. I say allegedly because I didn't see it myself, but I have it on good authority that it happened, and those responsible ought to be banned from Roots Hall. Disgusting.

Matt didn't deserve the abuse today!

He isn't a nasty player and I'm not sure that he purposely elbowed a couple of our players, he doesn't strike me as that kind of player.

However he should have been sent off for an elbow atleast once.

I also wish he scored like that for us.

Did he ACTUALLY stamp on Bilel?

Exactly. Plus, it looked to me like more of a muscular injury as it seemed to hit him suddenly as he was running - doesn't suggest a break... He was running about fine before that (after the Harrold incident.) It looked quite bad from where I was sitting though. Sturrock saying it was 'like a balloon' might suggest (in worst-case scenario) a ligament tear or something along those lines, but no way of knowing without an MRI. Especially on Moshni 'I play with damaged ankle/knee/multiple black eyes' Bilel... Poor guy.

Still, Harrold. What a ****.

Corr should of learnt off Harrold today a lesson in how to play that front man role. He was twice the player Corr was. Why He couldn't play like that when he was with us I'll never know.

I TELL YOU WHAT, I'm a bit ****ing embarrassed to be a Southend fan currently with the amount of abuse that Harold is getting on twitter. I'm not that happy about the fact he should have been sent off. But for god sake.

What stand was the alleged coin throwing in?

I'm at the game and this guy is complete p***! I just sent him an abusive twitter message after that celebration and I hope you all do the same!

His Twitter is @mjharrold GO!

Haha, you probably abused him when he played for us. Has improved as they all do, well done Matt, shame our strikers are as weak as kittens and the manager continues to play crabs in midfield when we have a Championship midfielder in Lee Sawyer that could feed the kittens!

Feed the kittens and they will score!

Pretty sure in his interview Sturrock said he'd gone down with the flu today. Not sure Matty stamped on Moshni's leg but he obviously did something and that's why he got the yellow card. As others have said he shouldn't have been on the pitch by then though. He's also become a right whinger as well hasn't he?
