After that gutless whimpy display following on from last week's utter shambles if anyone thinks Kev's still the man to get us out of this you need serious help.

We are not even an average NL team with numerous new faces this season and more excuses every week than I have had hot dinners.

We had plenty of the ball but little or no quality. The quality of crosses is abysmal, creativity limited, the number of times the phrase a “heavy touch” was used I lost count.

But while we think the players do have the required quality, maybe because apparently they had said quality last season, then we will believe we don’t need to seriously invest in the squad. And so nothing will change quickly. IMO. Deck chairs on the Titanic…

There are no easy games in this league unless you have real quality. I see Rochdale drew 0-0 at home to Ebbsfleet.

It’s quality in the final third. You have it or you don’t- it’s not a question of effort…

An element of the tragedy is losing Cardwell because we can’t compete on ££- he hasn’t scored in 4 months and other than his bank balance it hasn’t worked for him or us.

But we need proven quality in the final third - and if we can’t afford it then we need to be much better at using the loan system.

Sorry Kev, but that was nowhere near good enough. A decent enough first half performance where we threatened a couple of times without ever looking like we would score. Second half.....I'm speechless!
Coker, who had a shocking first half should have been replaced at half time.
I said it at the time and I'll say it again now, Hopper should never have been offered a contract beyond the end of this season. He just can't run anymore and was on his heels the whole time he was on the pitch. There was a good reason why the Cowleys were not playing him and were prepared to release him. We saw why today.
A couple of times, balls were slid into the danger zone. The first he somehow sliced wide, the second he was too slow to get in front of the defender leading to an easy clearance.

At 1-0 down Kev stuck rigidly to the same system with like for like substitutions.
It just baffles me why he wouldn't change it up and go 3 up top? Push Walker out wide and give them something else to think about. We made it so easy for Maidenhead in that second half. Once again we played all of our painfully slow football in front of them and never got anyone running in behind.
Where was the terrier like performance from Husin that we saw at home against Fylde the other week? He went missing again and was a yard off the pace all game.
Goodliffe failed to convince. He didn't dominate his man physically and his lack of pace was horribly exposed on a couple of occasions.
Ralph and Gus out wide just don't cut it for me as attacking outlets as they don't have the pace/ trickery to pose enough problems for the opposition. Consequently they are forced to play the ball back inside and any momentum is immediately lost.
Only Hayes and Morton came out of the game with any credit for me.

My biggest concern is that I don't think Kev has the answers to our problems right now. We have been crying out for some pace in the side as competition for Bridge all season. Even if his first choice long term target isn't available until the summer, there must be a young loanee available from a championship/ premier league side who could come in and add some of the missing ingredients?
We currently have 5 strikers on our books who all look like they wouldn't score more than 5/6 goals if they played a full season in our side. That can't be right and alarm bells should be ringing.

A lot of the players looked unfit and un-interested, terrible selection and no fire at all. Something is not right OFF the pitch so someone needs to look into it from COSU.
I fear the fire has gone from someone in the management. A golden chance for play-offs is draining away, much like the team spirit seems to be.

As of right now, we severely lack the ability to keep goals out of our net, and struggle even more putting goals into the opposition net.

At this point I don't pity our management team nor our current squad of players, they either sort it out or ship out IMO. Watching players strolling at times today was ****ing infuriating.

Season done and my season done, I know It’s negative but I can’t keep spending money to travel and get that served up, that and I’d rather use my Saturdays watching paint dry and get my entertainment fix elsewhere because that was boring.

Same here. I will probably give Tuesday a miss despite my season ticket and that's away days done this season. I am not paying anymore good money to watch that utter crap in the freezing cold.
