Jeez...... we just can't break through against teams like Maidenhead (or Sittingbourne). We don't have the quality to turn half chances into goals. Why weren't we playing 3 strikers?

Maidenhead had a couple of chances, but their goal from the set piece was superb. They beat us at Roots Hall with two set pieces from the same player.

We slip down to 12th, six points off the play offs.

Hayes in goal our best player says it all. How anyone wants to give Maher until the summer is beyond me. Sentimental, blind loyalty will not get us out this league. It would be out of pity, not sense. He is failing. No other manager would have had so much grace and goodwill. Keep him and we stay here for years, replace and we may just start improving results and performances. Never pleasant but absolutely necessary after Sittingbourne and today.

Tbh you can have whatever formation you like. 343 last week 3412 this. We simply do not have the quality. As I’ve said before not a single one of this squad attracted an offer from the EFL. Not one I believe? We are a mid table NL side.

Nothing will improve quickly as I’m doubting we have the financial will/ability to “buy” quick progress. So it requires what we said we would have but actually have none of- patience…

We all pointed out when the lineup came in that Kev had gone back to the same **** system which we’d been so poor with for so long, despite two wins on the bounce in the league with 3-4-3. The result… another dreadful performance. I’m actually angry after that, as I know we all think we’re football managers, but I genuinely cannot get my head round it. Even at 1-0 down, he makes subs and stubbornly keeps the same formation. I just really, really don’t get it.

No disrespect to Maidenhead, but how on earth are we going down without a fight against a semi-pro club in the relegation zone. These are the games we should be comfortably dominating.

I’ve been pro Maher for a long time, and I still desperately want it to work out. But the last two weeks have been indefensible. It’s just so poor and not remotely acceptable. My wish was for him to have an unhindered summer and pre-season to put together a good squad and give it a real go next season. But my confidence that he can do that has taken a hell of a beating now. I reckon there’s some very twitchy arses in the COSU camp at the moment.

Season done and my season done, I know It’s negative but I can’t keep spending money to travel and get that served up, that and I’d rather use my Saturdays watching paint dry and get my entertainment fix elsewhere because that was boring.

Just signed up for a double shift at work for Tuesday rather than using my season ticket… wouldn’t draw the curtains to watch this **** at the moment. Very stupidly made the trip to Maidenhead today, but I’ve finally learnt my lesson!

Hayes the only one out there that actually cares and put a shift in. Everyone else should be ashamed (again!).

Hopefully they’ll realise how **** they were again, 90% of the fans didn’t clap them off (other than Hayes).. which is quite something as a lot of our fans would clap the team if they’d just run over their cat usually!

Maher needs to go, but he won’t. I hope COSU are prepared for much lower crowds next season. I can accept my team losing but I can’t accept unimaginative, negative and boring football every single week anymore.
