2. We lose.

another worry is i just dont have faith in any players we are signing. In the old days youd get a new signing and it was exciting to see what they bring to the table.

The signings we make are either crap, past it, or just simply bang average and within minutes slot into the averageness of the squad and the abysmal formation.

I dont really see how he can turn this round. Its about as stale as ive ever seen it.

Sub-par performance, management needs to take some responsibility, and all that. But why would you play Ralph in his best position only to move a right wing back to right back, and the other right wing back to left back, all in a system they don’t practise?

Then go 4 at the back! Also, knowing Bridge is injured, why haven't they practiced with Wind or Gus there, let's face it, Gus has been pretty poor recently on the right anyway!

So I bought tickets for Maidenhead hoping to see a reaction to that shocking result last week. I hate that ground but felt the team needed support.

I’m honestly at a loss to explain what’s going on. We should have enough to beat these kind of teams (no offence intended). We’re crying out for pace on the flanks, players who can drive forward and we’re lacking bollocks in front of goal, we have had this issue in many games this season. Where’s the leadership, where’s the team spirit? Why aren’t we playing 3 up top when we’ve played our best football with 3 up top?

Why does Maher seem to always take off players who seem to be doing well? Is Hopper the best we could really get in?? Sorry but giving Kev a pre season and letting him make decisions with COSU’s cash ain’t gonna happen at this rate. He’s got to find a way to get a tune out of this lot first in my opinion.

Just wasn't good enough today. I'm undecided on maher, not defending him in any way and wouldn't be angry if he were to be sacked but I do believe he has earnt a few more games due to last season.
I was hoping Sittingbourne was going to be a one off a fluke, but we fans were served up the same rubbish again today. Players on the pitch also need to show more passion and not accept the constant time wasting from opposition teams(e.g getting the ball for them). Tuesday I would like to see bridge and wind as wingbacks if we are to stick with the five because there was just not enough attacking intent and ability to take someone on from both gus and Ralph. On a positive note Hayes looked solid.
Onto Tuesday......... hopefully we get a reaction just not the one we had been promised today.

Blaming their goal on a foul, and we haven't taken our chances, it's getting really boring now hearing the same comments from him. The formation from the start we knew what would happen, to me that shows we were worried about Maidenhead , my god that's worrying, rather than play our game, he is so stubborn, and will just make changes like for like hoping the player comes on performs better than the one who went off

Hayes, Morton and Golding passable. Goodliffe may be capable of doing a job. GSM was hopeless. Ralph in the wrong position. What has happened to Coker and Husin ? Up front embarrassing. We dominated but barely made their keeper work. They barely got in our half but still had the best chances to score. After we conceded we were absolutely pitiful and wouldn’t have scored playing all night. We sign players that can’t get in NL and Lg2 teams, and blokes from the lower leagues who are in their mid twenties who we somehow expect to
Improve and make us a promotion team. There is no evidence of the potential to turn this round and it’s utterly depressing to watch.

It`s getting rather annoying watching his post match interviews. I`ve also heard that his man management skills are not the best. I`ve seen him snap at someone that questioned whether the players had fire in their bellies, he seems to have a low flashpoint. I wonder if that is a problem between him and the players. Something is not right and if/when a change happens will we see players upping their game.

I've heard that quite a few of the players don't really like him. How true that is I'm not sure but he doesn't strike me as an overly likeable person. It would certainly explain performances.

I didn't see any fans turning on each other bit can believe it, some were clapping the players ( god knows why) and some were booing so imagine that may of caused some arguments

I said on the KM out thread, that Kev had a few of his players in now, and we have to see what he does with them over the next 5 or 6 games, to see if he can take us forward. I never thought we would lose this game, and once again it sounded if we were devoid of ideas, especially in the second half. Now I think it's only 2 or 3 games, as this can't go on much longer.
Also how many non scoring strikers can we sign, I wonder how many other teams manage to find so many duds?

I had been waiting for the Trust to announce the results of the Big Christmas Quiz. Even though it closed 2 weeks ago I hear they won't release the results until we win and win well. That's knocked it out of the park for the foreseeable future then.

Some of these players have definitely run their race. Whether we play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, the bottom line is that 11 should be good enough to beat a part time team.

I’d rather lose games having a go in a 3-4-3 than occasionally scraping results in a 3-5-2. I hope Kev just thinks ‘sod it’ and goes for it for the rest of the season.

He is the man to take us forward, no doubt about it. He just needs to back himself and encourage the 3-4-3, high press, high risk, high reward. It probably means occasionally we’ll take a battering. But we’ll win more than we lose and eventually teams will have to focus on how to stop us rather than how to beat us.

My guess is that Kev probably knows the current crop just aren’t quite good enough. Certainly that’s how I’d be feeling.

I’d probably bench Husin and let him go at the end of the season. Not been good for a long time now. Hopefully Parillion is the answer to replacing him long term.

Walker has gone under the radar for criticism, but for all the hype his output has been poor. Supposedly a huge signing at the time, but very average for me.

Gubbins - nowhere near it in all the games I’ve seen (I appreciate he didn’t play today)

Appiah-Forson - limited chances admittedly, but is basically a downgrade on Fonguck with no end product. Usually takes 3 touches and gives the ball away.

That’s just a handful of examples who you’d probably have to say won’t get us to the level of a promotion team. Love Miley and Bridge, again appreciate they didn’t play today either, but have been absolutely nowhere near it when selected. That’s on them to sort themselves out, because they’ve had ample chances.
