My flag was a lot smaller than Ant's so i would imagine that it was not restricting anyone view.

Not really sure what has happened to it, stolen, misplaced or what ever. But i will contact both Southend and Chelsea tomorrow to see if it has been handed in. I will also report it to the Police because it is a bit worrying if a fellow Southend United supporter has stooped that low and even more worrying for games in the future is there are people who are prepared to steal property at a football match.

I really hope it has been found and just innocently fell somewhere because if not, the repercussions of someone taking it from the barrier and being caught on CCTV doing it would not bode well for the club or their future following of the Blues

Good shout Ken, none of the guys round me had a clue what SZ was at all. And as you say, i would imagine it was about 10% of the Southend attendance who where from the Zone.

OK.............The plot thickens, i have just watched the extended highlights on Blues World and can clearly see my flag to the very right of the goal next to Ant's Irish's Flag as the final whilst goes........so someone had it after the final whistle.

I can not wait to speak to Chelsea FC and the Met police tomorrow.

Dave the plot dosent thicken really does it,maybe the plot gets a little bit silly as in this is a £2.50 flag from santos we are talking about with a few blokes sigs on it.It had great worth to you which begs the question why oh why take it in the first place.
The bottom line is that it is/was a flag,is that worth getting worked up about and calling people thiefs,well to you i suppose yes it is but i think the met my snigger when you call as will chelsea about the cctv and the swines from szfc.
I know you are a funny little complex chap but it is a flag not your wallet full of rare piccys and cash and your sons first tooth,no one has died(yet) and no one has been hurt(yet) so maybe get a new one and get your bestest buddy ron to get it signed.
Apart from that im loving this thread and i think as kay does and it was jackie and tony smith with thier szfc connections they could fence it easy and they were sitting right behind it,get the met to issuse a search warrent.

Sounds like a guilty conscience to me Dave.....put Tony down as the main suspect in your report to the police. All this "I was in France where I live" stuff doesn't stack up.....:nope:

I do not really care for your opinion on the subject if i am honest.

You have no idea at all what it meant to me and to suggest that you do really makes you look a bit stupid.

I took it in the first place because i did not assume a fellow Southend United supporter would steal it.

I guess in your world a thief is someone who only steal something with a high financial value.

To me it is worth getting both clubs involved and the police as someone has stolen a item of property at a football match.....it is called breaking the law no matter how you want to dress it up pal
