Not that many. Most moved awayI lived in Southend for more than 25 years up until the mid 80s but I was obviously fortunate in my circle of acquaintances that I rarely encountered the boorish, semi literate oafs that seem to be in plentiful supply now.
Not on recent evidence. Not that many. Most moved away
He gets to spend the summer down the park with a crate of Tyske. Not sure how this will all work out for him, he is now not playing regular first team football or training in a professional environment. I really can't say this is a good career move for him. He would have done better moving in the summer.
I don't think he gets the irony....You won
Sums it up for me.Can't help feeling the whole Lopata saga has been the biggest single factor in our sudden loss of form. Partly because of his ability and leadership qualities, but also bacause it must have unsettled the players to know one of them was jumping ship due to the clubs woes. It would be completely understandable for the other players to start wondering if they should do the same thing, which hardly does much for team spirit and togetherness etc. Can't blame him for taking a stand, but I do blame him for the timing & how it unfolded which did a lot of damage IMO. Don't think he'll get a great reception if he ever plays against us in the future.
Yep, you said it I blame him for what he did to our club, the timing was all wrong. Can't help feeling the whole Lopata saga has been the biggest single factor in our sudden loss of form. On the flip side we won 3 out of 4 games in Feb without Lopata in the side when he was out injured. Can't help feeling the whole Lopata saga has been the biggest single factor in our sudden loss of form. We’ve only kept one clean sheet in the 9 games since he’s been injured though. So it’s not impossible to win without him and even go on winning streaks but it is a lot harder. On the flip side we won 3 out of 4 games in Feb without Lopata in the side when he was out injured.
In the game before when Lopata got injured and came off on 54 mins, the game was 0-0. So we actually scored twice after Lopata went off so technically we won 4 of 5 games without him in the side
Im sorry i dont agree .The whole squd went unpayed .They all stuck around .And yes we have lost 4 on the bounce .But that got nothing to do with him walking out It is solely down to a chairman keeping us in the enbargo so We could not freshen up the squad .If you wouldn’t work for free, why should he?
Not a pushover! For Gods sake the we player wasn’t paid his salary and his agent unpaid. Don’t think Lopata was the guilty party.Exactly this. We're just proving we're not a pushover.
He’s coming across as a bit of a dick now.
