Kacper Lopata

Probably he was just about the only upwardly mobile member of the squad with a bright career ahead of him in the EFL. Difficult to see any of the others making the grade which probably accounts for their meek acceptance of being treated like dirt. We shall see at the end of the season no doubt if any get offers elsewhere.
there will clubs rushing to sign our players at the end of the season concord ,chelmsford .dartford .braintree , apart from a couple that`s about there true level .

Another example of how our club just wastes money almost like the NHS. Legal fees, and all the other fees associated with this, loss of potential future revenue etc all down to Ron, and I am surprised that Tom actually sanctioned taking this to appeal.

Add it to the other list of millions of pounds of wasted money on legal fees, lawyers, consultants, agents, solicitors, fines, interest, architects, planning people, etc.etc.etc.

Do we pay legal fees ??

I think this whole escapade is less to do with Lopata and his outcome and more to do with the players that haven't taken this course of action. It was obviously a route that was open to the entire squad and they would have been aware of Lopata's actions and would have had families/agents in their ears too. How amazing is it that only one player has decided to do this. It clearly shows the love and respect they have for the fans and management team. I think we need to focus more on the collective and what they've done and less on the singular person that decided to do what he did, however understandable. He's gone now and however unfortunate that is, we need to turn our attention to what remains. We need to move on.

UTB!

I would not give Ron Martin the task of filling a bath!
His decision making is appalling.
His wasting money is appalling
His wasting of other peoples time is appalling
His notion of cash flow is appalling
His paying of creditors is appalling
And he still has not put the plug in the plughole to stop the water running away.
His timing on his crass comments is appalling
His non payment of office staff is appalling
His late payment of playing staff is appalling
Anyone else care to add to the list?

So the club statement says the appeal was sought in order to protect the clubs interests.

Really!?! The club or rather Ron has the gall to sanction that statement!

It would have been in the clubs interest to pay the players and staff's wages you Bouffant'd arrogant P * i * k!!!!!

No you are right. The club shouldn't have tried everything they could following Kacpers decision to leave.

He left ultimately because we are skint. We definitely shouldn't have chanced our arm to retain the registration of one of very few saleable assets in a bid to make some money.🤦‍♂️

Absolute garbage, our wonderfully astute owner shouldn't have put us in the position where probably our most valuable on field assett could be legally allowed to walk away from the club! :Takethat:

I think you'll find the court proceedings were initiated before the players were paid.
When that occurred, there was no guarantee wages would be paid and hadn't been for weeks before.

The case was set and around the same time, they were paid, funny that...

Kacper wasn't the only one to verbally hand in his notice before they got paid, but was the only one, as far as I know, that did it formally.
I assume the other had the same agent?

I'm not disputing what lead to it.

I'm saying we were right to try after the fact.

If you think now wages have been paid, that we shouldn't have tried to protect our investment then I think you are wrong.
