Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

You should watch Ed Balls on Strictly, now that's bad dancing

Some of the best entertainment value I've seen this series. Off topic I know, but Ed has longevity in Strictly and deserves recognition. Blackpool will probably be his swansong though.

Yet again May was looking totally rattled and Corbyn calm in his questions to her despite her swerving nearly all of them at PMQs today.
It is a bit concerning that although we allegedly have no real opposition, the Prime Minister struggles against the 'weak leader' in the safety of Parliament - how can we have confidence in her abilities in the wider political world?

Very rawkus in there today with a Blackadder vibe going on.
Local political fans will be pleased to know there was a question from the Right Honourable Member for Rochford & Southend East on criminality and knife crime.

It's easy being Jeremy Corbyn at the moment. He can say whatever he likes because barely anyone listens and those that do are the people likely to agree with him already. Furthermore it's all of minimal consequence as he's already turned the party opposite into one of the most popular sitting governments ever, according to the polls.

the polling is down to the PLP more than him, the Tories got their leadership election over and done with so quickly they didn't even have time for a vote whereas the Labour one dragged on despite the result being a foregone conclusion. May is still in her honeymoon period but it can't last on account of the fact that she has no vision and the task ahead requires a lot more savvy than she is displaying.

The government's U-turn on revealing EU exit 'plans' to parliament is a massive climb down and is the 24th U-turn the government has been forced into since Corbyn became party leader. And yet certain sections of the media will still talk about a 'lack of effective opposition' as if that has any basis. The government are being held to account and time and time again being forced into a standstill.

Being fair,

Mrs May and her crew are all a bunch of idiots,if the opposition benches had dare I say a Tony Blair type,he would have destroyed May,Jezza lets them off time and time again,JC is one sorry poor leader.

I often wonder which planet you live on. There is no movement whatsoever towards Labour. If anything there is a marginal move towards the Lib Dems from both Tory and Labour (more the former, but only because there is a much higher volume there), but Labour are gaining no ground whatsoever in the main.... Not the Labour Party and the number of "members", but the main.... As in, the mood of the country on the whole. This is what matters and this is why the newspapers rightly refer to Corbyns lot as ineffective opposition.

Shouldn't you be posting this on a Conservative thread?

It's the likes of Anna Soubry and the 40 Tories, emboldened by a Lib Dem by-election victory (in which Labour stupidly contested but fortunately lost their deposit), who were going to rebel who are the opposition and who forced the u-turn.

If anything the fact that the government has only u-turned 24 times is a pretty damning statistic on Labour's opposition given how inept and directionless May is.

Why stupid that Labour stood ? Its more stupid that Tories and UKIP did not stand, maybe they were scared of the result, whereas Labour put them on the front line.
Give me a party that stands by its principles as JC does and not a puppet show
Like Cameroon in last GE debate, who would not go on certain TV programmes which showed him in bad light or up against Bojo, Labour for all their faults stood and fought alas not to everyones appeal, but they were there and not hiding behind others faults
ZG I admire for his stance but not his views, and lets be honest he thought he was going to win, so it was a good job Lib -dem did not have that approach as polls forecast at the beginning was a ZG win

UTS

I think the electorate have witnessed how potty the LP truly are and have no intention of voting for them.

I mean look at the Edstone utterly barking mad....JC will never be in power simply because he will never obtain the votes.

Labour are finished as the second party,I can see UKIP nicking the second spot.

No matter how misguided and outdated. You said it yourself, their ideas do not appeal to the wider UK electorate and for that reason they will struggle to make any significant change since the number of MPs who can influence government decisions is on the decline whilst he remains at the helm and the Labour party will remain no more than a "cult following"
