Jeremy Corbyn's Labour

I'd suggest that...

Many people voted Leave as they felt 'the establishment' (whatever that means) don't give two hoots about them and are incapable of addressing their concerns.

Similarly, many people have drifted away from Labour as they don't feel the party is addressing their concerns.

Lots of discussion in the office about this - my mate's from Preston, proper Labour voter - he voted leave because of this.

Prime Minister David Cameron has told Jeremy Corbyn to resign as Labour leader, claiming it is not in the national interest for him to continue.
During Prime Minister's Questions, the PM criticised Mr Corbyn's efforts during the EU referendum, telling him: "For heaven's sake man, go."

**** off Cameron you self absorbed ****

172-40 vote of no confidence.

No offence *** but you're like the band on the Titanic still playing as the ship goes down!

The Corbyn dream is as dead as Monty Python's parrot.

None taken.

I don’t actually mind him going if it makes Labour more likely to win the GE. But the Labour MP’s who have publically forced the issue against the wishes of the membership rather than through negotiation have caused more harm than good.
And it has absolutely nothing to do with Cameron. The man who called a referendum, created a false premise of reforming the EU that he then claimed to have achieved, lied throughout the referendum campaign, quit the day after his historic catastrophic loss so that we effectively have no PM at the time we have most needed one in the last 60 years and then has the audacity to tell the leader of the opposition to quit and doing so in his most hysterical tone of voice.

So for me – love or loathe Corbyn – at this moment in time Cameron should **** right off as he has over stepped the mark when I thought he had run out of marks to overstep.

To further the analogy, as Captain of the ship, Cameron is well and truly going down with her. His role in history will not be flattering but, as much as he steered us on a direct course for the iceberg, we had every opportunity to avoid the terminal blow to the hull. Cameron's negligence in plotting the course was matched fully by Corbyn's woefully dismal efforts to help steer us around it. And as cheeky as it may seem to died-in-the-wool Corbynistas, until the cold water of ignominy finally snuffs him out, Cameron has every right in his current role of PM to point out that Corbyn's position is untenable.

And thank heavens for that. After this debacle, we need strong political leadership. Corbyn's lack of it in the Brexit debate was EVERY bit as appalling as Cameron's. May they drown together.

My understanding is that Jeremy might stand if they want to elect another leader. Because he has done a fantastic job and polls show he is level with the Tories, according to one of his supporters/aides on the news.

Cameron's role is integral from start to finish. For him to true to pass any blame on to anyone is shameless.

Bonnie and Clyde are both guilty your honour. But Cameron's lack of honour isn't part of the debate as it doesn't even start to protect Corbyn from a 172-40 vote of no-confidence. Unlike the Titanic, your argument holds NO water. The man is drowing and the life rafts have gone.

Cameron may have got us into the referendum, but where was Corbyn throughout it?

I saw him make one statement at the beginning then nothing. Looked to me like he never wanted us to remain. Either way I can see why the MPs want him out.

Sadly it'll be back to right vs slightly right politics. There seems little room for the left in today's political landscape. Those who voted out seem to think a right wing Labour party will bring their fortunes back to life but that died with the advent of Globalisation and the clamour to buy things really cheaply, which I'm sure we're all guilty of, including those in Stockport who blamed EU immigration for all their ills.

That's because you turned on your own supporters. You didn't listen before and you won't learn your lesson. As we can see with your sneer at Stockport. Long may you be silenced its what you deserve.

Get over yourself, you're no working class hero. If the ex-Labour supporters believe that tying their fate to UKIP and exiting the EU will somehow drag industry back to this country than they're sadly deluded. Those days are long gone. I didn't sneer at anyone, i just used that town as a random working class Northern town. They've been lied to, cheated and beguiled by Murdoch and Farage.

Amazing how Liverpool voted to Remain....maybe it's due to the fact that The Sun doesn't sell many copies up there?

But the point is that's the kind of random working class northern town the Labour party need to hang onto if you will have any chance of forming a credible opposition never mind a government.
