Good journeyman pro at a higher level is a plus. Heading towards the end of his career and only 81 goals from 367 apps. Wonder if his assist ratio is high. That would swing it for me. 2 year deal max ?
Will be 33 in December !,his last 43 appearances he scored 3 yep bloody 3 times, beggars belief!
A very talented footballer. Great all round play and was not a first teamer at Ipswich mainly coming off the bench.
Could be a very very useful aquisition at our level. I remember people slating Lee Bradbury when he played for us but they obviously didn't see how much he provided in his play.
I'd be very happy with Mooney, Hunt, Pigott + a young pacey loanee as our attacking options.
Yes, I hold my hands up to that one. Strikers like Lee Bradbury and Blair Sturrock will always look good tapping the ball back and sideways, but they never look like scoring in a month of Sundays, and you end up dropping down the league. Relegation in Lee Bradbury's case.

Sometimes you have to offer two years to get the player to sign, it also means you keep wages down as they have the security of the longer contract.
I cant see him coming on a one year deal.
The year we got relegated from the Championship he was out injured and when he returned our form picked up and we went from doomed to having a chance.
He made a big difference when he came back into the side, meant we held up the ball more up front and werent under constant pressure like we had been before he came back.
I'd be happy with this, hope it happens.
Mooney, Hunt, hopefully Pigott and one other young PL/Championship loanee would have a good balance between experience and youth.
We're starting to assemble (hopefully...deals are not done yet) a lot of good attack minded players (not just strikers, think of the midfielders we may have - Wordsworth, Worrall, Payne, McLaughlin, Hurst). On paper and the fact these strikers are proven at this level and higher, they'd be a good strike force and give the opposition something to think about.

I bet Bristol City fans said the same thing when Wilbraham signed for them last summer (no goals in last 29 games & 2 in last 48 appearances), what a disaster that was eh!
Hunt scored 2 goals in 3 appearances in the Championship when played up front. Selective statistics are the best!
P.S. Why not name a striker you'd like to see us sign?
Hunt will probably be the highest earner with a 2 year deal in his pocket, not worth the outlay IMO .
The young forward at East Thurrock, giant step up I know but would be cheap as chips,so worth a go.
