But it’s the not paying staff that gets me annoyed.

As soon as the money comes through he must pay staff. No games or trying to act like a saviour. No Power plays etc

couldnt care less i dont live in essex so it wouldnt bother me one way or another .

This ends in one of two ways for me. 1) the prick somehow manages to scrape the money together for us to survive just a little while longer thus allowing the new stadium to be built in which after that he sells up with millions in his back pockets. 2) the club as we know it ceases to exist beyond this season.

Either way, the bloke quite frankly deserves every bit of backlash heading his way. I don’t know the bloke, I only ever had brief encounters with him way back in the early 2000s when I worked for the club (even then you could tell he was a prick to be fair) but I’ve got such strong hatred towards him for all the things he has put us through, I’ll never be able to forgive nor forget.

On Glen Pennyfather 's radio phone in show it was announced that we haven't paid Darlington FC their share of recent gate receipts. Another one in the long line of creditors Ron owes money to. How much longer to we have to put up with this dodgy business guy.

Where is this man's self respect?

He'd rather let loyal staff go unpaid, loyal youth team players go unpaid, players go unpaid, other clubs go unpaid, let St John's Ambulance go unpaid, suppliers go unpaid...rather than accept help after several approaches.

Just words isn’t it? He also said bridging loan in November. But yes it’s plausible it could all come together

Shambolic, the loan needed is to pay historic debt and tax liabilities, in the meantime more taxes are building up, wages are unpaid and more creditors join the list.
Imagine this scenario in your own life, the man is running out of balls to juggle, already need to be arranging the bridging loan to follow this one. It’s like the titanic filling with water and Ron is trying to scoop it out with a bucket riddled with holes

I feel so much better now that Spinner has told it as it is. I mean, who knew? Still, fills a few columns in the Echo I suppose.

The thing that continues to concern me is the structure of a club where everything depends on the Chairman, Ron Martin. It is frankly ridiculous that the rest of the Board of Directors seem to be powerless or indifferent during a financial crisis that threatens the very existence of the club. Why is the media not asking the likes of Frank Van Wezel or other Directors of the club what they are doing to stave off the collapse of Southend United?
