Not quite right a striking off notice is not the same as a court appearance for winding up.

Mentioned it on another thread, but 2 of Tom's companies have also been issued striking off notices!
I don't think it's written that way?

It's the 4 companies listed (5 including us) with petitions against them and the other mentioned MD Cheltenham has a strike off notice (presumably relating to late accounts) which as you say is not a WUP.

If Martin Dawn is subject to a winding up petition then so are its wholly owned subsidiaries? Not sure there's anything new even if its presented as such. We've been mentioning MD was due in court on the 8th on here for ages.

What would be interesting, if anyone is there, is if an adjournment is sought do they reference the same "imminent" bridging loan from Topland?
Good point.

Ah yes my error - thanks for the correction

That doesn't look good but it could be as simple as he doesn't want or need them anymore and is letting them get struck off.

I have not looked at them but it is common practise to open a new company for a project and if it doesn't work out let the company get struck off.
Oh yes. I don't think he has a need for these anymore.

I would suggest the assets have been shifted to Elounda LLP which have Julie, Thomas and Jack Martin as the partners. This has Current Assets of £41m !!!
This company fully owns Roots Hall Ltd, Thames Plaza Plc and Thames Village (P2) Ltd.

Funnily enough, the accounts for these companies are filed on time 🤔

Further, Ron is not a stupid man. He will have a contingency plan. He will not allow the club to be wound up; he would put it into administration first and he isn't going to do that, I'm sure he will have a plan B. There will be plenty of people that will lend him money (contrary to popular belief) and their money won't be at risk as it can be secured on the land.

Can it be secured? Won’t it already be mortgaged to the max? Is there any more equity to tap into?
Perhaps naively, no.
Cheers for the answer and good on you.

Now i know for sure there are still lenders out there only to willing to lend you money .I have prof of that . Someone i know has just lent a large sum of money to start up a busness .So i am pretty sure ron can get the cash if he hasnt all ready .

I notice from social media, some peoples much loved Stan Collymore was at the worst run club in the country today… doing some interview for clickbait radio TalkSport.

Wonder if he will bring them down to Southend at some point.

No buts it just funny that you keep banging on about trying to buy the club and you actually haven't even had one conversation on that point with the only person that matters.

when others who are not as vocal have at least spoken to the man.
Again, sorry to dampen your amusement but this is the extent of my "banging on":

One post on socials to try and elicit a response (worked, and got us various offers of support in and out, past and present from the club to try and make it happen - on balance, something I'm glad I done as it moved us forwards a little).

One post on socials saying that's it (in an attempt to put it to bed, and move back from potential acquirer to fan. Hasn't worked as people think I'm still hoping to be in the frame).

Perhaps naively I also agreed behind the scenes to do a ShrimperZone Q+A, which I ended when it became the same question of "tell me all the details", and during the process I posted here whenever anything needed correcting for accuracy. I still think that this was right, as it gave a chance for me to share what I could with the people that matter, and I'd welcome that opportunity as a fan with any future buyer of the club. But, a good proportion of the time, I deliberately stayed quiet for various reasons.

For the record I also didn't do interviews with Echo, All at Sea, and declined the documentary until we'd pretty much closed the door on it.

That's the extent of my 'banging on'. Most posts regarding me here are not by me.

I've probably posted here, and on socials, more in the few days since stepping away in context of being a fan, than I did for the entire time since going public. I hadn't really used this forum for years and years before this, because for me the internet has moved on and I don't particularly like forums.

If what I did during the attempted process is 'banging on', then I'd love to see how anyone can make the fanbase happy, when 90% want communication and 10% seemingly don't. If you didn't like my posts or responses, you didn't have to read them. I'm not particularly interested in posts online about cats or golf, but I don't feel the need to respond mockingly about them or grumble about them.

As for others 'speaking to the man', I know of those who haven't been able to get an NDA sorted either. Thankfully I've heard rumour that someone at some point may have done - can't share more than that and I don't know the validity of it nor the source - but for the club I welcome that, and my offer of any support does stand without any caveats. A new owner could bring a new way of the club being run, which is sorely needed.

But for now please try and stop sniping on pretty much every thread involving me, it's a bit tiresome correcting you... I'm sure you'll find something here - but you'll be replying to yourself now I'm afraid.

They are not the first. Wrexham had this I'm pretty sure another side too I can imagine we do the same every home game.
Always used to be this way, you queued up at the turnstile paid your money and got in,
not loads of queues almost into vic avenue. What a wonderful idea this is, no worry that the computer generated season ticket wont get stuck and not let you in, no worry about collecting your ordered ticket before the game.......brilliant idea.

Just imagine that all those concerts that sell out in 13 seconds, meant you could actually queue up and get in................revolutionary

Is it a reasonable assumption that Ron may be waiting for those 5 stated companies to be wound up before he secures the loan for Southend? It made me wonder that if he secured the loan before his court case, the judge may well say, "You've just had £5m given to you, pay the tax on these companies."

actually in the interest of transparency I will correct it - I'd be quite happy with a cushion for my seat, and a statue outside of course - that'll do!!
How confident you feel that Southend Utd will be saved and have a long term future, ideally not as a phoenix club in Essex Senior League next season?

I think I posted previously that I believe the land associated with the development is subject to a charge held by the Dellal's companies (from their company holding 50% of Citizens back to back to the group). I suspect the charge may be related to enabling the release of staged payments to Ron (or whichever Ron company) as certain milestones are reached. My assumption- but its speculation as the arrangements are as we know not transparent.

No - separate legal entities. And I suspect the loan would be going into a company associated with the development and that is able to supply some type of security. MD is completely separate from both the development and the football club as far as I can see?

re: 90% want communication and 10% seemingly don't
Actually, the 90% want communication but hate it unless it tells them what they want to hear, and the 10% don't want any communication unless it tells them what they want to hear. So they are more aligned than they think.
