Is it a reasonable assumption that Ron may be waiting for those 5 stated companies to be wound up before he secures the loan for Southend? It made me wonder that if he secured the loan before his court case, the judge may well say, "You've just had £5m given to you, pay the tax on these companies."
I hope not as one of those 5 is us...

I feel so much better now that Spinner has told it as it is. I mean, who knew? Still, fills a few columns in the Echo I suppose.

On Glen Pennyfather 's radio phone in show it was announced that we haven't paid Darlington FC their share of recent gate receipts. Another one in the long line of creditors Ron owes money to. How much longer to we have to put up with this dodgy business guy.

Yep owe them £8k I've heard.

It’s totally disgusting how this club treats staff and suppliers ect.
I’m not surprised but it still doesn’t stop me getting angry and totally ****ed off with Martin.
One thing for sure we ain’t going to make 1st March unless Ron gets the necessary dosh sorted pronto.

Get 14 days to pay half the net gate receipts (less match expenses) - think game was played on 14 Jan, so we're a few days overdue, although interest could be accruing at Barclays Base Rate +5% (still probably cheaper than a bridging loan). One of the penalties for being overdue could be expulsion from the competition. Not sure if there is any precedent for that.

Interestingly we're allowed to deduct £75 for the expense of using floodlights - I know there was lots of speculation on the cost of using those earlier in the season. Assuming the £75 is probably abit out of date and not reflecting current electricity costs I'd be a little surprised if they cost more than a few hundred quid to turn on for a game.

I still think he’ll pull it off with hmrc.

But it’s the not paying staff that gets me annoyed.

As soon as the money comes through he must pay staff. No games or trying to act like a saviour. No Power plays etc

Pay the staff and dont Expect them to be grateful.

It’s the least you can do

It is, whatever he may or may not go on to deliver in the future this won't be forgotten or forgiven.

This ends in one of two ways for me. 1) the prick somehow manages to scrape the money together for us to survive just a little while longer thus allowing the new stadium to be built in which after that he sells up with millions in his back pockets. 2) the club as we know it ceases to exist beyond this season.

Either way, the bloke quite frankly deserves every bit of backlash heading his way. I don’t know the bloke, I only ever had brief encounters with him way back in the early 2000s when I worked for the club (even then you could tell he was a prick to be fair) but I’ve got such strong hatred towards him for all the things he has put us through, I’ll never be able to forgive nor forget.
