It does not get ripped up, as the contract has been breached anyway. It goes to a tribunal and the damage has been done alreadybut when they get paid that gets ripped up

Maybe we wait and see eh? Your assertion that it's players in the plural may not be correct. So, if a player really really wants to get out. He will be able to unfortunately
Not true. If notice of intention to terminate a contract is served by a player then the club has 15 days (not 14) to rectify the situation, plus a right to appeal anyway. There's no guarantee of what a tribunal would decide if it got that far, although I'm sure there would be other avenues for a player to force his way out if he really wanted to anyway. It does not get ripped up, as the contract has been breached anyway. And this is the point. I don't think anybody seriously wants to leave. Massive credit to the coaching staff and to the fans who have all created atmospheres that the players love and which is just about enough to prevent morale dropping through the floor. All they want at the moment is to be paid what they're owed. So, if a player really really wants to get out. He will be able to unfortunately
No...but you must know that from what has been explained previously. It does not get ripped up, as the contract has been breached anyway. It goes to a tribunal and the damage has been done already
There seems to be sadly a trend to endlessly repeat something, irrespective of any evidence to the contrary, on the basis if you repeatedly say something that is not true people will believe it. Applies to Twitter, Facebook and, regrettably increasingly here.Maybe we wait and see eh? Your assertion that it's players in the plural may not be correct.
Couldn't have put it better. Common sense summary. Not true. I believe what has gone in to the club is at least one, potentially four "default notices". These aren't players serving their notice to terminate their contracts, but they do form a paper trail which could help them in the future if things get worse and it moves onto a stage where they do need to try to force their way out or where a tribunal takes place and evidence is needed. Some players were advised to do so by their agents, some were advised against it. There is no right or wrong reason - anyone who did it did so in an attempt to cover their backs.
It's a bit of a power play, nothing more really.
You're probably right, no one at the club wants to leave but players and staff have families to support, bills, mortgages to pay. The uncertainty of playing for a club that is in financial turmoil must weigh heavily on their minds! A bit like working for a company that could go bust at any time or moving to one that is more secure....Not true. Hmm. It strikes me that he wants to fund the club at a minimum between now and when the flats are done And then sell the club. The big issue will be once the stadium is done will he bother at all with the club funding as he’s fulfilled the council remitAll the more the reason for the ST to press ahead with the backup plans for a phoenix club...
Then the Board of Directors must fulfill their obligations - even if the Chairman is having problems doing so - and provide certainty on the payment of wages for players and staff.Hmm. sucks to be a player as they won’t have certainty on wages for all that period.
You’d think but I wouldn’t expect they wouldThen the Board of Directors must fulfill their obligations - even if the Chairman is having problems doing so - and provide certainty on the payment of wages for players and staff.
I really don't think he has the money even to put us into admin. So with 1 week to go, and after listening the supporters group zoom calls, it seems we should soon be getting a feel for how things are going to pan out.
What I understand is that if the debt is to be cleared, it needs to be paid up (in full or part) before the court hearing on the 1 March. If we pay in full, the court hearing will be cancelled. If we pay in part, we can then enter negotiations for the remainder on the 1st. If we pay nothing, it is very likely will will get wound up.
There is the possiblity of administation.
Not to mention the planning saga and if that is a requirement for the bridging loan! Also all the companies house activities with Jack Martin.
So all but winding up means something has to happen before the 1st March. Can we realistically leave it to 11.59pm on 28/2? Surely Admin would have to be started a day or 2 in advance?
He will indeed save the club (from his mess) and then pre Barnet game he will parade around the edge of the pitch on top of a white horse, Putin style (topless) with his hair blowing in the evening breeze, to be greeted by his adoring publicHe'll pay it off with the bridging loan, drawn down this weekend. He'll act like some kind of saviour and we'll promptly get another winding up order in May
