How do you know he hasn’t asked for outside help? From the rumours and Connor’s call etc it appears that he has been looking for this but is simply pricing people out of it currently. This again is just an opinion of yours and not factually true.

Also as much as we all hate Ron for numerous reasons I highly doubt that he doesn’t care as if he didn’t care I doubt he would have taken himself to the edge of bankruptcy to get his dream. If he has used as much of his own money as he says he has then he would have been better off getting rid of the club years ago. I also think that he will actually be deeply embarrassed that he hasn’t been able to pay people and from what I understand this isn’t actually his choice but something HMRC have stopped him doing.

I am not backing him at all and I think he desperately needs to move on but your post is potentially very wide of the mark.

The club need to release a statement confirming what progress has been made and rest peoples minds assured as much as they can. From my understanding there is confidence within the club that this will be sorted very soon and from the way the staff and players are sticking together you have to believe that they know a lot more than we do and that is why they are not downing tools.
Connors call? What was that as I must have missed that?

If he is pricing potential investors out then that further proves he has no real love for the club. Yes of course he will want as much as possible, we all would but if he loves the club that much and wants us to have a bright future then he could price it realistically and still walk away a very rich man, but no, his greed is yet again taking over.

All this bollocks he ploughs millions of his own money into the club, change the record mate. Most clubs survive on much lower gates than us and aren’t in and out of court every month with winding up orders and unpaid staff.

He’s still blaming Covid for all of this mess despite the fact players weren’t being paid and we was in court on a regular basis long before Covid came along.

He’s blown millions on legal fees chasing his property dream, thats why we are in the position we are now.

He didn’t come across as deeply embarrassed during his talk with the players.

He might be, somewhere deep down, but he’s never shown an ounce of genuine contrition for anything he’s ever done to this football club. At least not publicly.
I’m pretty sure if he spoke to the players the way someone on here said he did then someone would have had the bollocks to stand up to him. I wouldn’t take every word on here as gospel as most information is actually incorrect. Had he spoke to me like that and not paid me I would have been kicking off and I struggle to believe that all of the players and staff simply ignored him if he said what he apparently said.

He has also blamed everything and everybody else for any problems we have had over the years and still is.

It is never ever his fault.

1 I didn’t say he ploughs millions in I actually said if he has.

2 covid is the reason for the legacy debt.

I’m not backing him up just putting the same argument at you but from a slightly different angle with other rumours. There is so much fake news on here that actually no one knows the truth and the fake news on here makes everything as complicated for us as Ron’s accounts do to his accountants.

This time around he has used the Covid Card.. he actually had a payment plan in place for that which he failed to maintain, hence we once again find ourselves in the mire.

What about the previous 9 times he has found somebody or something else to blame.

Surely you can't keep on defending the indefensible.

It's nice to get a mention .... but don't hold your breath. What on earth can a Government do? Interfere with due process? We're still waiting on the Government for the £51,000,000 for our hospital, promised when David Amess was alive and has been promised to on its way by our new MP on numerous occasions. I am prepared to be very wrong but the Government won't lift a finger to dig Ron out of the hole of his own making.
If the "Government" hadn't called this in back in the first place, we'd have been doing just fine by now! Bloody MPs!

So let’s just clear this up. Ron speaks
To the players like a sack of **** and telling them he will crush them in court if he needs to and the players don’t give their notice on their contracts as they are entitled too when they first can and continue to perform with dignity and respect and make no comments about what was said but all seem extremely together. Make that make sense? To me what has been reported on here is wide of the mark. Not a single player has given notice as far as we are aware.

I’m hardly defending him I’m simply stating a fact that the debt is from covid. Equally your comment about missing the payment is a fact.

You saying I am backing Ron is an opinion off of the back of me stating what are facts.

You have a very rose tinted view of the situation, I do get that attitude is a coping mechanism for the absolute dire times Ron is dragging you all through.
You do realise though that every other club in the country went through covid right, but as far as I’m aware SUFC are the only ones up in front of HMRC and not paying their employees right now!!
It’s just the latest in RM’s line of excuses and blaming others for his selfish and **** poor management of the club

Covid is merely a contributing factor to the legacy debt the club has in its entirety. As is the £750k he charges to the club per annum (yes I know it’s a paper debt but it’s sat there on our balance sheet so for the time being, it’s a debt). As is the overspend when we dropped into NL. As is historic overspend. As is the attitude to creditors, suppliers and employees which results in additional costs.

These financial issues didn’t just come out of the woodwork since late March 2020 - I’m sure you’re not naive enough to fall for that spin…

@Cricko @Blue43 @Colblue @Carl fancy answering this then?

I’ve been here long enough to know that.

In this instance though, the story is true.

Had he spoke to me like that and not paid me I would have been kicking off and I struggle to believe that all of the players and staff simply ignored him if he said what he apparently said.

Ok.

i totally agree with you about what your own reaction would be to being spoke to Like that, mine would be identical!
As for the validity of the quotes, they came from posters allegedly closer to some of the players than most others on here, so I guess you have to accept them as accurate!!
I can only think, for no real valid answer comes to mind, that they are doing it in their own interests for they are very much in the shop window right now, so positive attitudes and displays could benefit them longer term if they do leave

this. You can’t get blood out of a stone but you might get an extra £250 a week out of your next employer through professionalism and working your socks off for a month. And fair play to them for that.

At least one player has.

I’m not going to name him and I’m not gong to name a source. I don’t expect to be believed by most (I probably wouldn’t either)

But it has happened.
In Nik I trust. Hope you’re well mate
