In 12 months he will be 36 and 5 months...in 18 months(term of deal) he will be 38!

So, someone who is 35 years 5 months old now will , in 18 months time, be 38 years old?

So have we finally got to the bottom of Mrs B's problem with statistics, one which can be resolved with an abacus?

Alternatively, if time moves that fast, I must be older than i thought I was.

Think Duckworth Lewis may be involved here

Isn't Totti still playing and is 40 years old?

Some players can be lucky and still offer something, regardless of their current age. Unless the said age has PROVEN to be an issue, why discuss it as being an issue? It hasn't been so far.
Come next season it's probable he'll be the 4th choice striker, it's really not a bad 4th choice is it.

Up until now there have been 87 posts on this thread, MrsBlue has played/posted 15 times, YES 15 times and not scored once. Not just that there hasn't been a single assist.
Don't those statistics mean anything?
Give it up Mrsblue and go shopping, have a fag and then tell us how you "won big" at the casino/bingo/monopoly.

Think you will also find he has accepted less as he is getting an 18 month contract. So give and take. He has done very well and deserves his contract. And if he contribution next year is mainly from the bench he has shown how he can be a very effective impact sub (even just holding up and closing games out).

What sort of auto-text spelled the word "devore" instead of "score"? :stunned:

A good signing for the influence and professionalism he brings to the team.

Sometimes a signing is deeper than what he can produce on the football field.

We've had players at this club that were gun players but caused ructions in the dressing room, Moshni anyone?

Presumably the same auto text system that spelled gun for good.:winking:

Exactly my point too !

Every week that passes Marc will become a fraction slower, that is a fact as nobody can beat time,in 12 months time he will be 37? Yet still have 6 months left on his deal...bizarre decision to give him such a long deal at his age.

I'm guessing he would have walked if offered an end of season deal. He's done well enough that some of the struggling teams in League one would have been interested surely?

TBF I'm not convinced he'll be great next season, but one thing's for sure, he'll be a hell of a lot better than Jason Williams ever will.

If i posted 1000 times its still none of your business,is it.

Indeed Totti is now 40 years and three months, Buffon, admittedly a keeper, turns 40 in January 2017 and has just been voted Italian player of the year. In a recent interview Buffon is quoted as having said that he sees no real reason why he can't play for another 15 years and that he might not consider retirement until he's 65!

MAF is a quality player. He has just signed a longer deal and it is not his fault that the negotiations coincided with a Ranger injury and Cox carrying a groin niggle. It has meant Fortune has had to carry the brunt with games a bit too close together. Once injuries and whatnot sort out he will show his worth. Sometimes to start games and other times to come on as an impact sub. There are players in our side that are a lot younger and also look a bit leg weary.

Wow you have changed your tune.

Few months ago when the club were trying to sign him....you said he is too old and rarely scores and doesn't warrant his perceived wage demands.:hilarious:

The reason I "changed my tune" is because I actually go to games and watch the guy play! And I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong, the first time I saw Fortune play I knew I'd misjudged what he would bring to this club.

You should take a leaf out of my book on two fronts - go to games and admit when you're wrong.

You misjudge most things I reckon, any chance you will put me on ignore ,that way the forum won't be clogged up with your meltdown:hilarious:

I think you'll find a lot more people would agree with my posts on here than yours mrsblue, mainly because I go to games and can therefore form a balanced opinion of what I see on the pitch. Oh and I also support my club financially and vocally which gives me a right to my opinions.

Well done you !

Now take a chill pill and have a lie down.
