When his deal expires he will be aged 37/38.....the bloke cannot Devore for toffee...yes yes against the Don's he was decent, does that game warrant such a deal.

1 goal in the tinpot cup..,bravo.

Say what?

Devoré (also called burnout) is a fabric technique particularly used on velvets, where a mixed-fibre material undergoes a chemical process to dissolve the cellulose fibers to create a semi-transparent pattern against more solidly woven fabric. The same technique can also be applied to textiles other than velvet, such as lace or the fabrics in burnout t-shirts.[SUP][1][/SUP]
Devoré comes from the French verb dévorer, meaning literally to devour

Fully agree, the poster (Mrsblue) doesn't go to games, doesn't see what goes on off pitch either; so the post is only about a set of dull figures solely designed to support an opinion.
A few goals would be welcome!
As others have, I have watched the bloke and he is as fit as any out there, he works his socks off and is a great partner for Cox and back up for Ranger.
I am pleased he has been signed upand he is a great example to young pros on how to conduct themselves.

Seen him 4 times...not many I agree, but I can still form an opinion.

As I said give him monthly or till the end of season deal...no harm in that whatsoever...but those in power decide to go all in and give him until June 2018 if rumours are true.

Remember when Phil was trying to sign him,Phil stated the stumbling block was he wanted big money,so the club overcame that hurdle and threw another shed load in Marc's direction.

Bloke cannot score,God knows what he will be like next season.

Auto text I'm afraid RHB .

Brings a lot to the team. Hold up play is good, he is strong and for a big lad can turn on a sixpence. I doubt he will score many but will get plenty of assists. Getting him signed up for 18 months is good business. As for being 35, he is more like 25, so much energy and power and will get better the fitter he gets

A bit like all your other posts then ...the Roslyn, creaky old players, muscly young players, hilariously jaundiced stats, the club's awash with cash, £5k per week wages for the teaboy...yawn yawn yawn

That's the first resolution out the window then (not to rise to the bait). Expecting the second one (not to break wind at the dinner table) to be history before sunset.

Happy New Year!

Only 7 teams have scored more goals than we have in League one, and if you take the last 12 games I bet that there might only be one or two that have outscored us.

Last 10 games the top scorers in the division are :-

* drum roll *

Southend United with 21 goals!

Your intention to break your second resolution so soon into the new year caused me concern. I've found a few web links that may help, especially if you have taken up Islamic religion. no need to thank me, helping you is enough reward.

Liar, liar, pants are on fire. Phil did not say that. They weren't in agreement on the financial side but he never said anything about big money

As per usual you've made it up as you go along, including the 'shed load in Marc's direction' claim.

The New Year isn't even 12 hours old and you have started fibbing already.

You lot clearly are not thinking in terms of the future .

Just imagine if we are promoted....Marc cannot score in league 1,what chance then in the championship!

Marc has scored 4 goals from open play in his last 73 appearances...5 including from the spot, his pitch minutes with us is hardly earth shattering, next season will probably be even less.

I cannot understand the length of contract, that is all.

A contract has to be agreed by both parties, you might think that a "pay as you play" should have been offered, maybe it was, but that's probably not what he wanted. You have to accept that anyone at his age wants security in their playing career. They've probably negotiated a bit and come up with something that suits both parties. As it goes, I think 18 months is perfectly acceptable.

Also, I don't really care how many he scores as long as he keeps being as influential in building goals for others.

The guy is quality.
The guy is a true professional.
The guy has been an integral part of Blues resurrection.

Is the guy worth an 18 month deal mrsblue? You do the MAF.

Good luck fortune. You earned it.

You are a joke. I have nothing more to say.

You've got to remember mrsblue doesnt use shrimperzone to discuss Southend United in a right minded manner. It's a cry for help to get attention. There are obviously some serious issues behind the person to post to purely get a reaction.

Mr RHB, you are fast becoming Master Po to my Kwai Chang Caine, as your posts lead me towards so much knowledge and wisdom. Can you not turn your mighty brain in the direction of MrsBlue - or at least make her walk across burning coals every time she repeats the same post?

A certain someone on here loves their stats, especially anything to do with goals, weird that they haven't used this ones. I guess as the goals were shared out they aren't as important. Don't know why I didn't think of that earlier
