Films you've watched recently.

Have watched all Oscar nominations for the last 18 years in all categories. We watch the ceremony live and shout at the TV when they get it wrong, lol! Anyone else?
Used to work with a lot of Shermans who'd stay up all night +do the same thing. While I''m always interested in the results the next day's coverage is good enough for me. :Winking:

The thing with live is no edit.
You get to watch Melissa Leo getting an award and four-lettering it: you get to watch the two hapless accountants from PriceWaterhouse hand the wrong envelope for best Oscar in minute detail.
But, yeah, if you've got work the next day it can be painful!
PS. What's a 'Sherman'?

Not my situation now.But used to be my excuse. :Winking: (As I said I'm more interested in the results than anything else though can understand the attraction of waiting up all night).

Ps Sheman =Shermantank ie a Yank .Bit of cockney rhyming slang for you-courtesy of my old man!Very often Septic is used these days ie Septic tank.

Saw Maria earlier ,An excellent bio -pic of Maria Callas with Angelina Jollie.Sadly won't get any Oscar traction.Time for the Baftas to step up.

I re-watched Jacobs Ladder (1990) and it was still just as disturbing and (slightly less) confusing as it was when I watched it first time. That said I recommend it.
I watched it when it first came out. I recall being confused and disappointed by the ending- but I can’t recall why. Just read some reviews which now explain the ending, will watch again if I can
