You get to watch Melissa Leo getting an award and four-lettering it: you get to watch the two hapless accountants from PriceWaterhouse hand the wrong envelope for best Oscar in minute detail.
But, yeah, if you've got work the next day it can be painful!

Not my situation now.But used to be my excuse. (As I said I'm more interested in the results than anything else though can understand the attraction of waiting up all night).

Ps Sheman =Shermantank ie a Yank .Bit of cockney rhyming slang for you-courtesy of my old man!Very often Septic is used these days ie Septic tank.

Some of the effects (even though CGI) were impressive, but it was just a retelling of the first one without any of the quality of the first one. Reminded me of 'The Phantom Menace' in that regard.

I saw Gladiator again recently on the box recently and didn't like it at all,whereas I had at the cinema.Could be the same for 2 I suppose.

I re-watched Jacobs Ladder (1990) and it was still just as disturbing and (slightly less) confusing as it was when I watched it first time. That said I recommend it.

Yes he does. He's been one of the most typecast actors ever, so it was nice to see him play a menacing baddie, and he pulls it off. I gave it a watchable 7/10.

Watched that last weekend, not crazy about the ending but enjoyed the rest of it. All 3 of the main cast were excellent I thought, particularly Hugh.

Conclave - Mrs RHB fancied this one and we watched it last night. I started off not being too interested, but by the end I was totally in to it. Ralph Fiennes at his best.

I watched it when it first came out. I recall being confused and disappointed by the ending- but I can’t recall why. Just read some reviews which now explain the ending, will watch again if I can

Watched 'Eraserhead' with my good lady wife for Valentine's Day. A tribute to the truly wonderful David Lynch and a gesture of my eternal romanticism. Holds up very well indeed.
