Films you've watched recently.

The writing is HORRIBLE!

Diana dors is hot! But that's all! The writing is so bad, and the lead actor is so annoying, I can't dumb myself down to watch. I did watch the film, but I kept saying aloud, "this is so dumb!" The writing and characters are so weak and dumb. Had potential but I watched and it's so bad.

The zone of interest.

Clever and disturbing.
Nothing happens, which is the whole point, which means it does go on a bit, but again that’s to reinforce the message and f the film.

Not sure if I would recommends it or not, bit of a marmite film. Certainly not one to watch if you want to feel good

I have seen this excellent film a number of times.......
"Tread Softly Stranger"

Watched this tonight for the first time in decades. Wonderful noir ambience in gritty Northern industrial town setting. One of DDs best after her Hollywood career failed to take off. Only criticism would be to query the relevance of the title and the Jim Dale title song.

Thanks for the link. Just watched it, very well directed by Terence Fisher, later of Hammer horror fame. By coincidence I recently watched another of his earlier efforts 'Stolen Face' with Paul Henreid and Lizabeth Scott (in a dual role). One of those Britsh Bs with imported American stars and thoroughly enjoyed it.
