Films you've watched recently.

Saw They All Came OUt to Montreux earlier (actually I'd seen it before on BBC 4 I presume but the chance to see it again opn the big screen was irresistible) at the Aribau 5 In Barna's IN -Edit (music festival).Excellent documentary,

Wrote and directed a fearlture called The Case (which was shot in London and Goa). Had it's prem in Soho's Fox Theatre, went to Cannes... then got shelved in a legal issue between the producer and a couple of the exec producers related to another project. Complicated and very frustrating.

Also directed docs around the med, Brazil, TV drama, shorts, TV commercials and music videos around the med mainly.
Did you do Glenn Medieros?

Watched this at the cinema this evening. An audacious offer of grand guignol if ever there was one.

Demi Moore s brilliant. As is Margeret Qualley. Quaid hams it up big time.

Writer / director Coralie Fargeat knocks it out of the park. Move over, Cronenberg.

Saw an excellent music documentary yesterday.Born to be Wild:The story of Steppenwolf at the Arribau1 In Barna's In -Edit music festival. Thought the band were German (after Herman Hesse's novel).Turns out they were Canadian (of German heritage).Loved their 2 tracks in Easy Rider,

Just back from the Odeon after seeing Lee Miller before it finishes and so glad I as a great movie based on facts of Lee being a War photographer after career as a model.

Also saw a bit more of Kate than I was expecting which was not a bad thing.

Watched this yesterday and enjoyed it. I like the style of the director and the way the shots are done, very good to have a film with little noticable CGI.
Mrs Winslet is certainly a quality actress.

Saw Pedro Almodóvar's The Room next Door with Mrs Tangled at the Balmes earlier .Quite liked it.Notice the Observer which reviewed it at the weekend didn't.His first feature length film in English + a shoe in for Tilda Swinton to get a best Oscar nomination I'd 've thought. While the Observer correcly pointed out PA's debt to Hitchcock they didn't attribute his use of colour to his love of French film particularly Rohmer.Critics hey!
