Essex Cricket 2024

You may not like the term but it is true! But I do understand what you mean, it is in a delicate position if a wicket falls early. One wicket brings in Pepper, two into the bowlers. The Essex tail hasn't wagged much this season.

Would be a phenomenal win if they complete victory today, but simultaneously a disappointment from this position if they fail to do so.
Yep....... it's huge win or huge loss.....no pressure guys!🤣🤣🤣

Looking forward to watching this live on YouTube. The morning session is crucial of course if Essex are to get over the line. A win would keep Surrey in their sights so let's hope Cox and Critchley kep going.
On a separate point, I notice that even on home games there are now no Essex commentators and in this particular game I had to mute the clearly biased Warwickshire comms. Does anyone know what has happened to Paul Newton, Dick Davis and Don Topley who seem to have disappeeared. Has BBC Essex had to cut back?

Brilliant! A great start this morning and when they took the new ball, to absolutely no effect, you sensed it was going to be our day. The fact that the two wickets we lost were down to a poor shot and misfortune, probably says it all. Thank you Warwiokshire.

Good to see Codx double century (and Snater hitting a few sixes) but the Tv coverage is very poor with the camera focus on the square so you never see where the ball goes!

a word for Critchley too. for us he averages 34 with the bat and 28 with the ball. Great stats. and at a time when Harmer has stopped working for whatever reason.
