Dale farm evictions "may breach human rights"

dalefarm1999p.jpg

Ariel view of Dale Farm in 1999 showing authorised site on the left which Basildon Council gave 40 Irish traveller families full planning permission to build homes in the 1970’s. The seven acres of greenbelt on the right, shows the unauthorised scrap yard that was established without planning permission, and Basildon Council took out enforcement notices against the previous owner in 1992 and 1994 to remove the scrap yard and return it to green belt.

Ariel view of Dale Farm in 2006 again showing the authorised site on the left, and the unauthorised area on the right, after the previous owner failed to get retrospective planning permission for his scrap yard, cleared the site and sold the land for a reported £120K to it is believed the Sheridan clan of travellers. The Irish travellers started their unauthorised development without planning permission on the green belt area and move onto the site in the early 2000's.

Ariel view of Dale Farm in 2008 again showing the authorised site on the left, and the unauthorised area on the right. At this time it had expanded to a reported 60 Irish traveller families living on the unauthorised development on green belt without planning permission.

Today it is believed this unauthorised development of the green belt area is now occupied by around 96 Irish traveller families.

Lots more police about this evening, more than usual anyway! Mobile police station arrived today too... or yesterday. Guess getting ready for Saturday.

Actually it looks like the end of the road is quite near.http://gu.com/p/325hk
You'll just have to be patient for a little bit longer though.Still you've had 10 years practise.:winking:

The pikeys have had 10 years to practice taking a running jump. They have known for many months now that this day was coming and it has not as though it can be argued that due process has not been undertaken. Anyone that says otherwise should put their money where their mouth is, drop by the site and give a pikey family a tow back to their place.

I expect to see you and Gloria Hunniford gurning next to a caravan on the 10 o'clock news tonight :winking:

They should block any injunctions or attempts to delay as they have a planning meeting in November, which no doubt end up with them getting permission.

I hope you never called King Freddy a pikey when he was playing for us?:stunned:

So basically you're saying we should disregard the law? Isn't that one if your main objections of the travellers? ;)

BREAKING: Travellers fighting to stay on the UK's biggest illegal site - at Dale Farm have WON latest round of their High Court legal battle

This country is pathetic, it makes me sick to think that they're allowed to remain. I think I was told by someone that the residents who live around them were thinking of protesting themselves about their human right, too darn right, they've had to live next door to these scumbags for 10 years and it's about time they got what they deserved. I'm not surprised it's been delayed though, this country is too soft.
