Dale farm evictions "may breach human rights"

And it's still just as insulting...........****. And no John I wont apologise. If he's comparing my 32 years of work and social contributions to that of a bunch of thieving, work shy, scrounging liars then I'll call him all the soddin names I like. Or ban me, that's one solution.

Remember,we were all told that "there's no such thing as society."
ps I have a fair bit more than 32 years of work and social security contributions to my name and I included myself in the original comparison(along with any other member of SZ).

You've taken a line out of a long post where I've shown proof positive of the "socialist elite" join the up with the very elite group they've spent years spewing their bile at.

Nye Bevin is probably the exception that proves the rule.

I chose to highlight the line which interested me most in your post and with which I fundamentally disagree, as did Nye Bevan.(Glad you appear to be a fan btw).:smiles:

What you call "proof positive"was in fact a highly subjective analysis.(I'm glad you spared Wilson,Callaghan,Healey and Benn among others though).
It would have been very easy to have drawn up a similar hitlist of hate from the ruling Tory "elite".One name will suffice for me,however.Thatcher.

Evidence?

The caring society speaks again.

This is where viewing this from a distance is causing a problem

Those of us in the area will have been reading the 4 pages per day exposure by Jon Austin (who has won a National investigative journalism award) in the echo, over the past 3 days where he highlights the links many of the main travellers have to numerous properties and developments in Ireland.
he also ran a story a couple of years ago on a similar site in Cambridgeshire where the travellers had also spent considerable sums of money on green field sites and then developed them contrary to planning regs.

The evidence is there , its all over the place in Essex and , to be honest there is going to be an assumption that anyone debating this local issue is going to have read up on it first

There goes the UN Support angle

Yves Cabannes is the former head of the UN's advisory group on forced evictions and todays Echo has a peice saying that the UN have distanced themselves from the opinions of the ex official.

Beat me to it. I don't think the UN would be so opinionated to be honest.

By the by, he's French, but works in London; bloody immigrants...:hilarious:

And you are ,of course, an enlightened, highly intelligent, articulate(but potty mouthed) member of the SZ community.(irony alert).

Barna, a serious question. Is it your life's work to turn the average punter away from left wing politics because you're succeeding in spades. Are you Rusty's henchman in disguise?

Picked up on 4 separate posters but ignored my "evidence" then Barna? Truth hard to accept?

Your "evidence" consisted mainly of a rant against the UN as far as I could see,OBL.

Sorry, you were obviously referring to that Indy article(in another post) which I've just read.
“I do not want to prejudice any investigation, but if any of the same people are involved, it would have huge implications,” he said
Notice the "if" in the quote I've highlighted.

No.But I don't feel I have to put up with mindless, foul mouthed insults from posters who disagree with me either.

You can't plea for civility after some of your most ridiculous outbursts (I think we all remember the absurdity of your comments after the Norwegian massacre), but I think this request is entirely disingenuous. You're nothing but an old attention whore trying to gain some sort of human contact during your exile in some Spanish hovel.

Until any of this so-called "evidence" you refer to is actually proven, it would seem to me that the Echo is just running a populist campaign against the travellers ,which as they are fully aware, will boost circulation as it panders nicely to local predjudice.
Having said that I'll be happy to buy a copy at the weekend, though I've never found it worth reading for anything other than footy reports(and often not even that).

Those comments(as you yourself pointed out)were echoed in a recent Guardian article on the EDL(an organisation which you have claimed to be a member of).

(Why on earth you should think I live in a hovel, I've no idea. You're quite mistaken in fact-as you are, about so many other things, of course).

So the Guardian is echoing your comments, rather than the other way round now? And I don't think even they would stoop so low as to accuse people who vote Conservative of being delighted by what happened in Norway, as you did.

No.But I don't feel I have to put up with mindless, foul mouthed insults from posters who disagree with me either.

Considering your post, I dont consider my response mindless.
You have basically stated, and confirmed that you think the illegal travelers occupying Dale Farm, who have set up barricades and gas bottles which they intend to use against the Bailiffs, and who everybody believes pay no tax and are quite likely falsely claiming benefits, contribute more to society than any one who posts on the Shrimperzone.

If you don't feel you have to put up with insults, the you shouldnt insult the rest of us by making these statements in the first place.

That is precisely what I did not do.
I would certainly hope there is a difference between people who vote Tory and right wing extremists, which is the term I originally used.

Actually, I said contribute no more or less to society than anyone who posts on SZ.
I would agree that this particular post of yours is certainly not mindless.

Well I think the vast majority of Zoners would prefer to be known as a ****ing Idiot rather than being put on a level with law breaking tax dodging pikeys.

In fact i might start a poll just to see.
