kind of knew there be the initial scramble and hoo haa, will stroll in tomorrow morning get home and away tickets easy peasy.

Why cant the ticket office be an 01702 number and avoid the stupid charges for 0844 numbers?

Some people do like to moan about nothing.

Depending on your call plan an 01702 number dialled at daytime rates could cost you more !

08444 77 numbers are not stupid charges.

(the only issue is with mobiles and that is the greedy mobile providers fault)

I'm gonna take a leisurely stroll down to the ground tomorrow afternoon and get tickets for the home game, not going to the away game now though unfortunately.

just ordered my ticket by phone this morning and was told I can collect from Crewe on the day - hope this is correct as its a long drive over from Middlesbrough - think I will check with Crewe ticket office today that they know about this arrangement!

Anyone who's getting tickets today, ask how many away tickets currently sold. I would be interested to know. I think we will take around a thousand there.

If you own a Pak Power he can get your tickets for you while you put your feet up......5 in my car for the short trip to Crewe including 2 newbies attending only their 2nd match and one who has'nt been for a while. I'll carry on preaching and converting.

Actually fuming with the ticket office staff for two seperate reasons, I apologise if anyone knows anyone who works there etc but they are so thick.

As I have stated previously I purchased the crewe home (4 home 3 away) and away tickets but for the home game I only had 3 of my 4 season tickets. I was told I could pay for it now but that I would need to come back with the season ticket when I had it. I queried this at the time because they are all under the same name and address so it seemed petty and silly not to let me have it there and then. They also told me they were not sure if the north would be open so I should buy my normal seats first and then move them over once it is announced.

I then came on here to find that other seaso's had already moved theirs to the north and on the same day as I went there. So I basically had to ask my sister to go down there and pick up my 4th home ticket today and take the season ticket with her. She went there and they gave her the ticket without even asking to see the season ticket so firstly thats another journey to the ticket office that we didn't need to do. Secondly when she asked to move all 4 tickets the north they said this was fine but there would be a £10.00 fee because North Bank tickets and more expensive than my current seats.

How can north tickets be any different in price to south upper right behind the goal??? When my sister said we've moved our tickets to the north about 5 times this season and never been asked to pay they said sorry but we're making people pay this time. I bet no one on here has had to pay. They are thick as anything in there and I know its only a tenner but still it takes the ****. They don't know their arse from their head.

It still is an 01702 number, you just buy an 0844 number and point it to the 01702 number. This gives people local rates even if calling long distance, imagine the complaints if they didnt.

Also means they can change the local number they use without having to change all their literature.

That is rather naiive. The real reason companies use these kind of numbers is because they make money on them. All telecoms companies charge eachother for terminating calls. This is called an interconnect charge. All numbers starting 05,08,09 etc share some of these interconnect charges with the people that own the number, i.e. SUFC.

First I have heard of any charge to move tickets. Lets face it if you had got West Stand tickets you can just walk through to the North Bank anyway without changing tickets.

Anyway you should just have been able to buy North Bank tickets in the first place, as others people were.

This is my problem. The whole process has just been loads of effort and very frustrating.

Thats what i thought, a few more quid for the cub then!!!

800 away tickets sold according to the official site. Away tickets no longer on sale at Roots Hall but fans will be able to buy at Crewe on the day.
