And the lockdown won’t make it go away any earlier either. It may never go away. Need to learn to live with it.
Sorry Phil but vaccine won't make it go away nor be 100% effective so any plan needs to take that into accountGranted any lockdown won't make the virus go away.Only a vaccine can do that. But a lockdown now might just get the R rate below 1

I've heard that the Nightingales will be re-opening very soon.
An 'expert' on the BBC said the Nightingales provide additional space and beds - but they have no staff! Why they weren't used in the first wave.
They had door security at Asda in Basildon but they just treated people like drunks trying to get into a club after a skinful. Those two were lucky not to be lynched and Asda saw good sense to get rid. They are not the answer. To do that the shops need it to be illegal to serve non abiders of the rules, as with fags or alcohol. And police it not leave it to scared staff.
With no clubs open then trained door security are needing some work?
Which is lucky as they didn;t have the staff to man themBecause they were never needed. They werent even close to being needed
Found some stats - most recent reported (July) 120,607, up from start of year which had 117,401. But down since May which had 121,255.Which is lucky as they didn;t have the staff to man them
Boris has just said we have lots more doctors in the NHS - does anyone have any stats on that?
I fully expect the local ‘Spoons to be packed til Weds night. Expect the bouncers will be busy. I do feel sorry for people in retail, hospitality etc. as they were beginning to get back on their feet. I’ve been off since March so I’ll now be off til December. At least I have a job (for now). It’s all like a very bad film script ..Sadly, there’s more chance of us gaining promotion this year, than the general public adhering to these rules & restrictions.
Still, feel free to fill your boots until midnight on Wednesday
