Just walked up my local shops. It seems quite a few more people about especially in cars.

Pretty sure some people think the lockdown is over as the 3 weeks are up. Certainly the guy on the powerful motorbike with flip flops, shorts and t-shirt! Maybe I shouldn't judge he could have been a keyworker.

Would have helped if the Gov had extended it on Monday rather than just saying we will see later this week.

Men who as sure as hell don't live together going in a different house and not doing the social distancing thing?

I didn't quote your post originally as I wasn't referring directly to it. In my post I mentioned work outside the house and finished the sentence with a question mark as it was a general remark and question about the rules on construction. I didn't mention social distancing as I think by now we can all safely say we all know this requirement. The tone of your remarks in return suggest you've taken my post as an attack on you. Nothing of the sort. I repeat my understanding is that construction work outside the house (socially distancing) is allowed. What you're talking about at your neighbours is something else.

An attack - no mate not at all sorry if it came across that way. They are definitely breaking the "rules" of isolation by having builders in their house and if you ask me, utter hypocrites when they proudly come outside at 8pm tomorrow and applaud.

Getting a bit fed up with people outside the chemist's on their mobiles looking for all the world like they were in a queue to go in.They weren't .I had to pick up some prescription medicine though.

Jeez I must of missed that one. Are we applauding builders tomorrow night? If we are I'll make sure I'm wearing tracksuit bottoms at half mast in honour thereof!

How do you know they aren't working in different rooms. Builders can work inside not just outside.

Absolutely, people are allowed to go to work.
Why is everyone turning informer?
I know from my business in the Building industry that the guide is one trade in a plot at a time, externally 2 metre distance between people(gloves and masks) problem is massive material shortage makes my staff (10) sitting at home of which can 3 can work from home, the others on 80% pay, nearly all our contracts are shut, tough times indeed, dig in everybody.

Really? Men who are not of that household are working in that household in close quarters to themselves and possibly the residents of the house. My niece's boyfriend is a builder and he's been stood down so why are these not?

I didn't "inform" on anyone I just passed it on in conversation on here. Maybe I won't bother next time.

If those lads are working in that house with the residents inside, not only are they all breaking the law, their barking bloody mad.

It seems that in Germany,(waiting for confirmation) that NO fans will be allowed into grounds, concerts, fests ..until earliest 31st AUGUST.
They can play behind closed doors, not said when but they are hoping
2nd-9th May...
Germany is(if the experts are to be believed),the best country in Europe containing this virus....If some experts are correct?? the UK may well end up the worst or even if only one of the worst....then it maybe hard to see football etc in the UK ,with spectators until also September.
Hope im wrong

Ahhh Bless

Plenty of building work / gardening work being done for the past 3 weeks so certainly nothing new.

Got my last day off tomorrow. I’ve enjoyed doing sweet FA. Only been out the house twice, Thurs food shop and then ended up back at Sainsbury’s pharmacy on BH Monday as the 2yo had picked up hay fever / conjunctivitis over the weekend. Work sounds like it’s been hell on earth so looking forward to Friday and the lack of distancing in our office ?

In the worst kept secret in the UK, another 3 week lock down will be announced tonight. Lock and load everyone.....

Wait for the outrage and people will end up thinking **** it and breaking the lockdown rules.

We need to make the fines and punishments more serious than a £60 fine (£30 if paid within 14 days ? )
