Brexit negotiations thread

You weren’t being helpful and anyway my reply was to Barna not you. He’s more than capable to speak for himself.

I certainly thought you were talking about the Guido Fawkes website as Another Surrey Shrimper correctly surmised.Especially, as you mentioned unreliable twitter feeds in the same post.Anyway when I was at school (admittedly some time ago now) we were taught about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder plot.

The bookies don't often get it too wrong (unlike journos and politcos) so I make them right in that there will be no Brexit this March29.
What happens after that may well get very nasty, the MPs in Leave areas who have thwarted their electorates may be concerned, some journos, and possibly the ultra pro EU BBC may start asking hard questions.
A delay in a 2nd referendum while Junker and Co crow and belittle the UK further?
It is still going to be a narrow vote AND there will be much social political fall out AND a growth in radical discontent by the largest vote in our history being discarded.

I'd usually agree as the odds are manipulated by people literally putting their money where their mouth is, it is worth noting that the bookies odds were very wrong on the 1st referendum though!

Well lets hope not.
Ok so here's why it's not.

If you have an elective caesarean section, then it's scheduled at approximately week 38 to minimise the chance of going into labour before you have the c-section. The baby is full term at 38 weeks and so there aren't any risks of delivery at this stage relative to 39-41 weeks.

For medical reasons, both of my children were delivered by c-section. What happens is that the obstetrician opens up a diary and you literally book a day and time. For our first, the obstetrician wanted the section to happen on a Friday (I think 38+1 day), but it was my wife's brothers wedding the next day and my wife was a bridesmaid, so we asked if we could go in on the Monday (38+4 days) to avoid missing the wedding and that was absolutely fine. Enjoyed the wedding and got home on the Sunday and popped up to the hospital on Monday morning.

For our second, The obstetrician picked a date which was the birthday of our eldest, we asked if we could having it two days earlier to avoid them having the same birthday (and also because our eldest could then be in nursery that day!) and that was absolutely fine. Both time we asked and double asked if there were any issues or risks about moving it by a couple of days and we were reassured it was completely fine.

None of us know the full details regarding Tulip Siddiq's pregnancy, but moving your c-section date is perfectly possible with no medical risks at all, so perhaps people need to think about 'why' they're criticising her, before jumping to call her a silly b**** (how does disgusting misogynistic language go unmoderated on here?)

Please report it as I have.

Wow, tiger, all I said was I thought it dangerous, I never said a word against her in any way. You have explained what her C-Section involves, I didn't know, now I do. I haven't said anything that could be described as misogynistic and I resent the implication.

And breath......back to the B-Section.
The bookies won't be getting this wrong. Too many MP's have already said which way they will vote. Even allowing for a swing to TM's deal for their own reasons, it will still get voted down. Her blackmail tactics of her deal or no deal with time running out hasn't worked. Then like I said before, she will go back to the EU and she will try and get something else on the table, if she does get something, her deal will be voted on again and extra time will be allowed by the EU regarding 29th March.

Though as it stands she only has 3 days to announce her plan B. If it is to just go back to the EU for fine tuning that is almost definitely a waste of time as MPs are rejecting her deal for fundamental reasons.
It's been said there will be a vote of no confidence tomorrow after PMQs. Not sure how accurate that information is but if it happens it's still down to the DUP to save or kick out this government.

I have no doubt that the HOC vote is a foregone conclusion, it is what will happen from there and the odds they have on other possibilities I am not so certain on.

I saw something recently that said 'it takes snowflakes to create an avalanche'.

And liked by the usual Snowflake lefties :Hilarious: I rest my case

And therein lies the problem. Far too many people too easily offended by stuff that really doesn't matter and far to eager to get on their righteous high horse just so they can feel better about themselves.

Right, back on topic :Thumbs up::Winking:

Plots to kill MP’s - The gun powder plot hence Guido Fawkes.
Last time I try being clever!
