I don't go missing I have a life away from screen :smile: also I don't feel need to post on mass every 2nd of everyday

Until theres an important issue to be discussed. Like the shade of blue or the pattern of a piece of cloth the players wear

If we do sign Nile Ranger I think the fans will play a big part in his success or failure! If we get behind him and show some sort of warmth towards him we could have a great player on the books. If we don't forget his past but continually throw it back at him, the opposite will apply and he won't be around for long! Personally I shall treat him with nothing but encouragement and do everything to make him want to be here and show us all what he can do.

I'm having a bit of a chat with a Blackpool fans site. Nothing too interesting yet that we don't already know, but if some worthwhile posts emerge I'll post the link.

Haven't had much feedback so far,

but not really surprising as one of theirs appears to have done a runner with their protest donations against the Oystons.

Nothing to do with SUFC but a fascinating read (Yeah, I know, off topic, but it's close season).

Just read that thread does not sound good, also the other thread about only 1,000 Blackpool season tickets being sold, many unhappy Blackpool fans saying they will never go back and want the club to fold.

He's got no chance then unless he scores a hat trick on his debut :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Phil and Ron talking to the scout.

Phil/Ron....we demand you find the most obscure forward ,criteria must be hardly kicked a ball and rarely scores,do not offer any guys who can score with ease.

Scout...How about if the guy has plenty of previous criminal history plus he causes problems and rarely plays and scores.

Phil/Ron...We Defo need this guy, bring him to us immediately.

The strange world of SUFC signing forwards:smile:

Slowly becoming clear that very few people actually know what kind of player he is or whether he is any good, simply because his career has been so chequered that even fans of clubs he played for would rather talk about his off-field issues.

Is he quick? Good in the air (he's 6ft 2ins according to the gospel of Wikipedia)? A link-up man or a poacher? Nobody seems to have absolutely any idea whatsoever. I hope the lad can sort his demons out but given his track record it seems unlikely.

I think on this occasion, PB deserves credit for taking on Ranger. I presume that PB has thought long and hard about this and I am happy to give the lad a month to prove himself. I personally think he is a good player who got a bit lost in the high life the premiership brings. Did a decent job at Newcastle and I would love to see him get a years contract at the very least as long as he proves his worth with the months contract.

I really hope the fans get behind and support him. As has been said before, we could make the difference between Ranger going back off the rails or banging in the goals and feeling wanted by the fans. We could have a little gem here.

Exactly how I feel about it, great post

Although quite tall (other sites say 6'1') and decent in the air he was pretty mobile/quick certainly when at Newcastle. No donkey. Hopefully he will have at least 30 mins at GWR on Sat so not too long to wait. Looked in reasonable shape from the training pictures- if that is supported by the tests I am sure he will feature- if the tests say he is completely out of shape the GWR will come too soon.

Agree- he is trying to find players who will/can get us pushing for the playoffs rather than journeymen L1/L2 players and 'hungry' Ryman league players who might be relatively cheap and keep us up both won't move us forward. A club with our limited resources has to take a few risks here and there to succeed..

Don't want Nile at my club. What a disgrace to humanity. Probable woman beater.

With a user name like "David Icke" I would expect you to come up with something controversial and possibly amusing ............ this comment is rather hackneyed and unimaginative. Come on, you can do better than that, can't you?
