I'll tell that to my HR department. I'm all for innocent until proven guilty but this would result in instant dismissal for me (if found guilty). It's a bit like the Inland Revenue. Football seems to act in a world that the rest of us don't.

Which it absolutely does. I know of no other industry where young men get paid very, very good annual salaries but on a weekly basis, where the money within the industry is at mind boggling levels yet 90% of the clubs are skint, where the individuals who actually find the gems at lower levels can't afford to be paid properly and are very often on mileage only yet the gems they find are rewarded with unbelievable sums of money, where any act of immorality or illegality is ignored if the player concerned can stick the ball in the net and where the people who actually support the game either through TV subscriptions, buying merchandise or match tickets are fleeced time after time after time.

If football were any other business it simply would not exist.

The suggestion in the Daily Mail article is that he was "part of an alleged scam", suggesting others were involved, so his part could possibly be quite minor.

He's been charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit fraud. If no others are involved then he'd be found not guilty.

If this is a now a thing there's several other Southend 'strikers' I'd like to see charged with fraud.

What did I say..... Sounds a Nice Chap.....mmmm innocent until proven guilty...as they say....but with his past....Other clubs are laughing at us now
I doubt other clubs are laughing at us. He has played a big part in turning our season round. If for any reason he had to stop playing for us we are still better off for the time he has played for us.

As a fan of this once decent club I recommend he goes down for a very very long time if guilty. I haven't forgotten the fact he punched a woman in the face a while back. Real scumbag. Too many libtards on this forum.

By the way you can watch the video of him hitting the woman if you all want.

Google 'daily mirror Nile ranger punching woman in face three times'.

How the hell has it taken 22 months to get to court? Has the fact that he has now got 'back on his feet' got anything to do with this? What actually is the crime; 'Conspiracy' means to plan something, therefore not actually doing the said crime?

I would love to think he had nothing to do with this, but I have a bad feeling...
