the club should put him on his own community service, One his actual punishment is know.... Would any of you employ an ex offender once they had done there time or punishment? I'm sure lots of you would (and rightly so)

Not a crime to roll yourself in any glory over, and leaves a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths... But never has there been a more truer time in Niles rehabilitation, and now lets see him walk the walk. We as a club need to stand up to this too...

what is FACT, is that this didn't happen last week (which would be a totally different can of worms) The line in the sand was drawn when he had that conversation with Ron and Phil and told them he had changed. This happened a couple of years ago... We cant keep hanging him, I only hope we do stand by him, and I genuinely hope he embraces the support we show him

Nile's barrister asked for a pre-sentence report, saying: ‘He has previous convictions, but the most serious of which was 10 years ago now.’

Ranger was today granted bail on the condition he does not contact Ms Bloss and he notify his solicitors if he intends to take a holiday.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: 'Detectives from FALCON, the Met’s response to Fraud and Linked Crime, have charged a man with fraud and money laundering offences.
'Nile Ranger was charged on Monday 12 December with conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
'The offences are alleged to have been committed on or around 18 February 2015 and relate to the fraudulent obtaining of bank details by telephone from a vulnerable person in order to gain access to the victim's savings.'

The admission of guilt may go a long way in obtaining a lesser sentence, but with the screwed up justice system in this country where causing death by reckless driving is not classed as manslaughter, who knows? And that's just one that springs to mind!

From a personal point of view, as much as the vulnerable person bit doesn't sit well with me, people can and do reform, and can have regrets for their past actions, and as long as he keeps his nose clean from now on, and accepts with dignity and grace the decision of the court, support him, the last thing he needs to make him stray from the straight and narrow is to be ditched again by the club and fans.

I'm beginning to think he's an idiot . Would it really have asked too much to put a shirt and tie on when going to court >

oh no , he decides green flight jacket and jeans is appropriate!

Even if he hasn't got a brain cell, surely his barrister or agent could have advised him !!

Absolute clown .

I wore a suit to magistrates court and received a much larger fine than those that turned up in tracksuits.

So laundering not used
Harm in the lesser category and if the others are guilty then his culpability is low (part of a group, single victim). could be a community order or very small sentence.

I wouldn't say clown but I do agree, if you go to court you wear a suit/shirt and tie and make an effort. After all, we all know it's all about first appearance in all walks of life.
