PB: 'Me hands is staying in me pockets canny lad, on me wallet, me mobile and me crown jewels!'

Such a lack of trust

I would hope that he has been tested in his time here. I cant think of many sports where professions dont get drugs tested al least 3 times a year.

Ranger Just tweeted: "Only time I'm at peace"... Sounds like he is in a good place (well within the club anyway).

I'm personally taking it as a positive outlook on his focus towards Southend United & he's team mates around him.

Nothing, that's the point. But read the thread about him and the tweet during the game.

That was one person and it got cleared up very quickly, people just used it as an excuse to point out there's really no point him being here and he should be sent back if possible.

The word you should use is correct. We may be on a forum where the proletariat abound but it does not mean we should lower our standards.

In some contexts, they mean exactly the same thing. The OED traces rightness, in the sense of ''accordance with truth or fact; correctness, accuracy, precision'' as far back as 1425, while correctness, as in ''the quality or condition of being correct; conformity to an acknowledged rule or standard, to what is considered right, or to fact; freedom from error or fault; accuracy, exactness'' dates from 1684. It's clear from both definitions that there's an area of usage—essentially to do with accuracy, precision and exactness in relation to known or unchallenged facts—where neither is any more appropriate than the other. In short, they can be treated in such circumstances as synonymous.

But there are other usages in which each takes on a specific and different sense, to the extent that they become antonyms. In particular, the concept of correctness, representing conformity to ''acknowledged'' rules and standards, or what is ''considered'' right, begs the question of ''by whom?''. There have been many wars and battles fought because one side's view of what is correct is at odds with what the other side believes is right; and correctness, in particular, has taken on social and political overtones in the last few decades that place it in a more negative light than was previously the case.

On balance—and by reference, if nothing else, to the OED's definitions—the concept of rightness seems marginally the more straightforward and the least prone to negative nuance. If what you are seeking is a formula that allows for sincerity, integrity and commitment, even if other dimensions are open to challenge, it is probably the better (as in ''least contentious'') word to choose. Just saying geezer

My post of the year, brilliant.:Worthy:

Lots of dull posts on here. I didn't want Nile to join, but he was a "changed character". This incident was when Noel was bad so he hasn't proved me right for not wanting him to sign just yet. Personally I really hope he's turned his life around, more for him than for his football, so should get support

Far to many of you have read the charges and made 2+2 = 7. Nile Ranger has not been phoning up old ladies or asking for their bank details. He may well have been duped himself.

Yes I do know people in the police and our club but don't bother asking how I know because I obviously won't say.

You will just have to wait for the trial, which being a fraud case will take a lot longer than we are expecting. He certainly could be kicking off next season before it comes to trial.

My own mother who has dementia and my step-dad have been targeted twice in the last 18 months by these sort of scams. Luckily they have been well educated by the family and have not become victims. So I am not blindly supporting Ranger because he plays for Southend. In fact if we found out Nile Ranger had stole from our parents then me and my step brothers would make sure Nile never played again.

Fair enough you don't have to take my word for it but in this case I will be giving Nile my full support. Up to you lot to decide whether to do the same.

Okay mate I'll wind it in a bit and take you with a bit of trust.

Well done Jam Man. My post was nothing compared to the Ironshrimper image of Nile Ranger that you have allowed. I was just pointing out to Ironshrimper what I think of him, and how low he's stooped. He was an O.K. poster, but has now changed into this other person, who's a bit of a wind up.

So you don't recall Blue79, BeverlyHillsNob and Southend Pier then?
Starts of fine and then just implodes. Watch out for the threatening personal messages he sends.

Yes I do. And yes it could well be him, although last time he claimed to be a Man U supporter as well as Southend. This time he says he's Spam. And yes you are right. It's the same behaviour.
