It will be very interesting to know when the police first made Ranger aware that they were investigating him for the alleged offence. Was it prior or after he signed his extended contract????

Failure by Ranger and his agent/representative to inform the club which PB has stated was what happened certainly appears a foolish thing to say the least...

If he had been arrested back in Feb 2015 then I have little doubt that it would have been in the press then.
I am only guessing but if his phone has been used, and records might show that, then he either used it himself for the call(S) or a mate of his did - which Nile is likely to remain silent about - and if he won't co-operate with the inquiry he might be asked the same "who had access to your phone" in a court of law.

With a conspiracy case often anyone considered involved gets charged initially. Then later on charges can be reduced or dropped altogether for some that were allegedly involved.

A guy I worked with in the Fire Brigade was lead away in hand cuffs after the police raided his house and charged him with conspiracy to supply class A. Turned out his lodger was involved with a gang and was storing a large amount in the house. The charges were dropped against the guy I worked with before the others ever went on trial.

It's Jose from what I understand.

But anyway, who cares what any other fan thinks? Nile was never going to be a popular with opposition fans. There's a portion of our fanbase who dislike him for perfectly valid reasons. Personally I couldn't care less what some kid on a Sheffield Wednesday board has to say.
