Since i bought it from a automated ticket machine that had the options of Spanish, Catalan or English (available at all Metro stations), it wasnt difficult, that and the price differential which is clear, and also the fact that all the tourist guides i read stated that if you only want to do the city itself, you will only need Zone 1.
I guess the real differnce is the 'T-10 1 Zona' has exactly that printed on the ticket. The T-10 being the type of ticket, and the 1 -Zona relating to the routes permitted. Pretty much like my C2C season ticket, where the ticket type is defined as 'Annual Travelcard' and Southend East to London zones 1-6 are the permitted routes.
For what its worth, i am still carrying my T-10 ticket around in my wallet if anyone wants some proof in the Spread on Saturday... just incase i'm lying :winking:
I thought you'd got the idea that a T1 card refers to Zone 1, a T2 card to Zones 1 and 2 etc and T-10 refers to the type of ticket only (valid for 10 rides but not the actual zone).Evidently not.
You can see this quite clearly from the ATM touch screens you were talking about above,(incidentally designed by a former company class student of mine, Ramon Beneditto). The first screen(the same in all metro and FGC stations, invites you to choose the type of card you want, T-10 etc,(there are many other types too).If you press on T-10, you are then invited to specify which zone you want eg T-1,T-2,T-3 etc
If I have time, I'll take a couple of photos for you before our flight over on Friday.I'll also be available in the Shrimpers Bar to show you an example of a T1 and a T2 card(I'll only visit the Spread if someone can assure me they won't be serving their beer in plastic glasses).:winking:
