The best move we could make this summer is to get rid of brown

A while ago I would've agreed but answer me this who do we get in to replace? Who is going to be able to attract the likes of Cox and Ferdinand to the club? I'm sorry but Brown is the man for the job in my opinion and I trust him.

Like I said earlier no player is bigger than the club! Let them **** off to these ****** northern clubs on more money. All will be restored when Brown pulls a worldy signing out of the hat like last year when out of the blue he signed Cox.

What a shocker... but it's no coincidence Thompson looked improved a lot this season playing alongside Ferdinand. See how he looks next season without having anton next to him. His definitely replaceable. I'm more ****ed off that his dropped down to bury then showed ambition and gone to a championship or upper level league one team.

If Leonard goes then that's three players who u know will play 40 odd games a season. Looking round the rest of the squad too many crocks and I think Brown will do well to recruit players who can put the sort of shift in that those three do.

Phil said it was vital to sort out our own key players first getting them signed up a priority, especially as he only felt we needed to bring in 4 and as ever the above would enable his fabled early sorted squad. cough, cough. Sorted = goodbye Will, bye Adam, next Lenny and Ferdinand ?, and is it goodbye Ranger the incarcerated ? Nice to get things sorted early? Nice to see the quickly settling in new squad, Taxi !!

If brown went tomorrow dozens of managers would want the job. Ultimately time will tell of course. I hope decent signings are forthcoming too.

What's going on ? To have good players going to Bury and Mansfield seems to put our attraction to bring in good players and to be able to keep and develop good young players into sharp focus. Disappointed, but us trying to throw it all together again over each summer seems normal now.

We need to ask why these players are leaving. Is it just money? because a few players at the club are on fantastic money...
I've already mentioned the gaffer and then there is the way a couple of players in particular get away with seriously unprofessional attitudes.
So let's hypothetically say that there is a massive difference between earnings compounded by preferential treatment for a select few who are basically taking the **** out of the majority of our Lads who are hard working model pro's. Why would anyone leave??? as I say all hypothetical of course. I'll pop back when the Coker deal is finalised x x x
Oh I didn't even mention the abysmal treatment of previous players....and I mean abysmal

I didn't see that one coming.... Bury? Christ, playing in front of 3 half k fans instead of 8k? Whats that all about.

At least it's our choice if Lenny stays or goes. The Thompson Bury move is hard to understand but he'll have an agent who'll have been touting him around Championship clubs to see if there's any interest and maybe there just wasn't. Maybe he isn't as highly rated as we thought. The NI call up doesn't mean too much, he's been there before and let's be honest, how many Northern Irish centre backs are there at L1 level or above. It won't be a big group that's for sure. Regarding PB's role in all this, since he arrived we've improved each season, and have lost quite a few 'irreplaceable' players along the way. His record shows he usually gets it right and any suggestion he should go is ridiculous.

Footballers are know different to anyone else today there is no loyalty just move around for extra monies and benefits.I am disappointed but understand there career is a short one.

Totally agree with this!! Phil brown is one of the best managers and biggest names in football! He signed some great players and we ended up in seventh place! Im not worried one bit phil will sign better replacements and we will have a successful campaign !!

Likes others I really did not see this one coming. I was slightly Shocked by Atkinson but not fully. I hope we can keep Lenny & Coker.
I think there will be more departures over the next couple of weeks and you do have to wonder what is going on. Close season always sees people going and froing but I really thought the team had jelled.
None of us know what goes on behind close doors

crikey, going off the reaction on here we have got ourselves a very good centre back! Money and the best training facilities outside the premier league would have been a huge factor in him signing, good luck for 2017/18 lads!

Tosser , no ****ing loyalty in the game anymore , he wouldn't be anywhere without us

Supporters aside, there's no loyalty in football full stop, the club ask for loyalty from Jack Payne, Dan Bentley, Will Atkinson, Adam Thompson but what loyalty did they show Luke O'Neil, Cian Bolger, Luke Prosser.

Similarly, player loyalty is almost non existent, the game is now a playground for their agents.
