Is he looking towards the loan market and free agents then? The transfer deadline this year is the 9th of August.
 
Interesting comments from CP about some of our targets (chose to go higher). Wonder who that was?

Harrison from Bristol Rovers perhaps? The lad from Cheltenham who has gone to Bristol City? David McGoldrick from Ipswich who went to the Blades?

He also said some have chosen to stay where they are, could that be Ricky Holmes?

Maybe indicative of the players he's after, but I guess that's water under the bridge now.

We've got a decent enough starting XI and bench to start the season with, but not a lot of strength in depth if we don't add any more. With the early transfer deadline this year, that's a little concerning

All of those will have been way out of our price range with regards either transfer fees (Harrison/Eisa) or wages (McGoldrick).
 
Bess30 has been quiet ever since his bold prediction this morning of a new signing.
Are we awaiting on the results of a medical or something?!

I was unaware there was a Tomlin at Cardiff ,all i know is the guy said Southend was after Tomlin, i took it to be the one who was at Southend when Assombolonga was there ,thought at the time he was way past his prime .

Bess30 has no credibility whatsoever. Not the first time this has happened. Clearly someone with nothing better to do with their life but make up things for attention.

But if there's no speculation, no matter how wild, there would be no opportunity to moan about it
 
Scunthorpe have signed Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on loan for the season. Great signing for league one that!
 
We need signings. This team hasn't got the pace of the inventiveness to take teams on.

Very predictable again today. Minimal play beyond the opposition defence.
 
This next week I hope we focus all our attentions on finding a player or two with some serious pace as that is what is seriously lacking from our squad, certainly more of a need for a pacey player than a target man in my opinion.

According to Sheffield fans on their forum with the signing of Woodburn today it looks like Ricky will be leaving Bramall Lane (but maybe only on loan). Quite a lot of Oxford fans are saying he'll have signed for them by the end of the week.
