I did hear this rumour, I wasn't sure it fitted with the "well known to us" part of the original post though

Understandable, he's well known to us in the sense that CP managed him previously at Huddersfield, not that he's played for us before.

Moot now anyway, he decided to stay local with Bradford.

Nope, Swindon according to CP for a reunion with El Tango

Well that's a shame. Not that CP would've gone back on his word when he said MAF won't be signing. PB has brought in a decent amount of players. I don't know much about some of them but he seems to be finding it easier to bring in targets.

To be fair that's probably a good move for MAF if it comes off, at his age most managers unfamiliar with him will probably only have MAF as an emergency backup should one of the first choices get injured (like Noel Hunt at Wigan), Brown has shown that he likes MAF though so he'll probably give him some minutes.

There were rumours that CP was in Stoke yesterday talking to a player. Stoke City have just signed two wingers - Tom Ince for £10million and James McClean for £5million.

It would seem logical therefore that they're going to offload a winger or two from their squad.

There's a young Belgian winger called Thibaud Verlinden who it is rumoured may go out on a season long loan to aid his development.

I have absolutely nothing to base this on, just speculating in the absence of any other specific rumours!

Think that rumour is pretty solid, Kevin Keen gave it as the reason why Chris Powell was running late last night. No idea who it could be, but your thinking makes sense

All this sounds quite plausible, but I wonder if Chris Powell was talking to a Port Vale player who previously played for Southend?

Maybe CP is going for a bit of experience and is digging up Sir Stanley to teach the youngsters how to do it ??:Smile2:

If Worrall was on the cards Id have mixed views about his return. 63 appearances for Millwall and Port Vale, not too bad over 2 seasons, but dried up a bit on the goals front , just 5, and although he suffered that terrible tragedy when with us , I began to feel i had seen the best of him, although now just 28

I was a bit disappointed when Worrall left as I definitely felt he still had something to offer. But a lot of time has passed since then and he hasn’t really set the world alight since so wouldn’t be that excited by his return. But I think this is a classic case of putting 2 and 2 together and getting 89.
