And they will join 'us' why ...............?

They're out there. As for why? Why not? We pay decent wages for League One. We are a Seaside Town, great for young families or someone about to start a family. They will be told about the new stadium(even tho it might never happen at this rate). Chris Powell is the sort of Manager players like to play for. We are an ambitious club with an ambitious Chairman, no matter what you think of him. And last but not least, our great support home and away.

Ron has shown that he is not a chairman to pull the trigger quickly on a manager, and also that he knows it takes time to get things done. For any new signingings they can reasonably be assured that the manager (CP) that they sign for will still be in place for their contracts; which is something that isn't true in too many clubs (e.g. Scunny/Posh/Bradford).

I think Mantom is a perfect replacement for Timlin. Very similar player and he's about 10 years younger. I'd also be very happy with Vassell!

Wouldn't we need to sign another player as well to cover for the injury missed games?
However that might be in the past and who knows if Mantom could become a "play ever minute of every game" player; he seems to have the discipline to avoid silly yellow cards.

From the Blackpool Gazette:

"The 25-year-old finished the season as the club's top scorer despite suffering another injury-plagued campaign, scoring 11 times in 29 games".

Another sicknote?
.

As has been said neither Hopper or Vassell would be an upgrade on Cox- if Cox says then either with Kyle Taylor as well would look decent.

Vassell was one of those "non league gems" Peterborough famously buy by the truckload. getting him from Bishops Stortford for an undisclosed fee 3 seasons , 5 goals 28 games and three loan spells later they let him go .
19 in 54 for Blackpool in two seasons

haha people moaning about last season's goalscoring records... do you actually think if these players aged ~25 would be signing for us if they had scored 20+ goals in L1 last season.. wake up.

I’ve always thought Vassell has looked class against us and a threat. I’d be pleased if he signed. As a replacement for Cox I’m not so sure as I think Simon’s the better player. But there’s no doubt Cox is one of if not our highest earner so if we could get Vassell and one other for similar wages maybe that could work. Depends on who the partner would be I suppose.

We signed Ladapo from Palace and he has been released. I'm not sure who the trainee is, care to enlighten us?

Shayon Harrison, that was it! Couldn't think of the bloke. Yeah, he went back.

CP didn't have a great "eye" for those two, let's hope it was due to transfer window pressure, they were both fortunately low risk gambles.
