Col uwe vs southend utd isnt boxing day 26th is a normal saturday due to fact dont have bank holidays on a weekend so we will be at home boxing day as boxing day is 28th december this year

Boxing (St Stephens) day is always December 26th and is a bank holiday, where it falls on a weekend the bank Holiday is deferred to the first working day, but the 26th remains as Boxing day.
Just as when Christmas day falls on a Saturday the 27th is the Bank holiday in lieu , but the 25th remains as Christmas Day

When Christmas day falls on a Saturday, the Monday is the Xmas day bank holiday and the Tuesday is the Boxing day bank holiday

However the festival day ie Christmas day and Boxing day remains on the 25th/26th.

Have booked the long weekend as the fixture list says the game is 8th August, but 8th is a Saturday so it might actually be on the Monday, as you can't have Mondays at the weekend or Saturdays during the week....therefore the 8th becomes the 10th....is that right? :dim:

Ah, but what if the game is selected to by shown live on Sky on the Monday.... then you'd need to book until 12th because Monday is the new Wednesday.
