So who we playing Boxing Day then?

Colchester or Millwall...depending whether you adhere to the Gregorian calendar or not. But if you rock up sometime between Christmas Day and New years Day you are likely to see one or both of them...

Colchester and Millwall apparently.

We really need to sign some players.

No problem...we beat Dagenham & Redbridge at the same time.

its true its on all 2015 calendars

Not on mine it's not, quite clearly says Sunday 26th December - Boxing Day and lists Monday 28th as Boxing Day Holiday.

Incidentally, those looking forward to a weekend at Blackpool, don't forget that's Easter weekend and prices for accommodation will likely go through the roof.

Does that rule you out of our trip to Rochdale on 26th March then Kel?

boxing day is Monday 28th December Not 26th December as don't have bank holidays on a Saturday or sunday

:facepalm::headbang:

"Boxing Day" is always traditionally the day after Christmas (26th December). As it falls this year on a Saturday, the 28th will still be a bank holiday, however, but Boxing Day won't move to the 28th. Boxing day will be marked down in the calendar for 26th December, but the actual Bank Holiday for Boxing Day is set to be on Monday 28th December. We are playing Col Ewe on the traditional "Bank Holiday" game.

I find it quite incredible that out of all the excitement of the fixture release for our return to League One, that the one thing that you want to debate more about, is when Boxing Day is this year! :nope:

My thoughts on the fixtures, not a bad pick for us! Would have preferred a few less long distance Tuesday night trips but I'm not complaining too much about that. November and December look set to be great months for us too, Essex Police must love the fact that we've got Col Ewe away and Millwall at home in the space of 2 days! Bury away last game of the season I can see Southend fans taking decent numbers to that one, hopefully this time not to watch 6 mins of football!

Now I'm excited for the season to start! Hurry up August 8th!

True, I feel we should be more concerned about the shirts.

Is it? Seems odd we're playing Sheffield United at home on a Monday then.

Apologies, that's what you get for relying on someone else's comment elsewhere and not checking yourself! Though I think I'd have preferred Blackpool to Rochdale for our away match Easter weekend! :stunned:

Now its my turn to slate our Rivals

Climbing to the top of Mount Everest in a Birthday suit is a more preferred location to Rochdale at any time

One of the joys of living in North Wales this coming season is that if I go to all the away grounds I will travel 4976 miles compared to fans living in Southend who will travel 8255 miles.
Before anyone calls me sad compiling these figures, it is a rainy afternoon up here:smile:

Have seen a number of posts about how tough next season will be and will be lucky to pick up any points in August. Sorry is it just me but I feel quite confident about next season. Admittedly we need a couple of decent strikers and timlin signed up but I genuinely feel we could be a dark horse next season. Anyone else agree?
