Not being paid

i know - my comment was regarding staff and specifically the stewards. They were told they would get paid next Tuesday? At no point as far as I know did Ron say they had already been paid.

The players yes assuming some or all of those 5-6 remain unpaid I agree- but do we know for a fact they are still unpaid- we might point to the BBCEssex reporting re meeting with PFA tomorrow- but does not the very same tweet suggest ALL players have not been paid- if this as it seems is also plain wrong how can we believe statements from the same source by true without question? Of course it might be a YTS trainee working the twitter feed these days and they failed to double check the wording before posting.

I would just love there to be source that I could rely on - but there again we all wish that I guess.

Gotcha pal and agree with you entirely for the accuracy of references, hence my like of what you posted. Just thought I would mention the references, so you can see I tried. lol.

Agree with you again on the point of the variances from the same source make life a little more complicated.

Still think the players wouldn't be going to the PFA if this was only a one off incident and as I say, how can you not know that you're company is incompetent and not telling you and exposing you as the owner. no one would put up with that.

and that if the game did get postponed then that's another week with no matchday income for the clubs coffers (probably isn't a massive amount but is better then zero income).

Bearing in mind, our next scheduled home game isn't until 1st Feb, a postponement on Sat, could be the straw that breaks the Camels back?.

If it was just stewards unpaid at present, do we know how much?

Shouldnt we attempt at least to chip in?, contribute , raise some cash

So what happens if those who haven't been paid (we think 6 or 7) decide to strike (some may well be injured players) but we can still field a team, assuming their colleagues don't join them ? Does the match go ahead anyway or do the PFA intervene.

The players have still not been paid.. considering strike in a meeting tomorrow. Is this actually the end?

With a couple of exceptions, I genuinely can't believe our players are threatening strike action because their wages are late.

Bury got promoted whilst not being paid, Bolton struggled on for months before the players threatened strikes and this will have happened at countless other clubs but at the drop of a hat our players who would be 11 points clear at the bottom of the table but for Bolton are threatening strike action?

If they'd played less half-arsed crowds wouldn't have shrunk so much and wages could be paid? Maybe we could have used the money from a FA Cup 3rd round trip to a Premiership club to pay their wages if they hadn't have lost to non-league opposition? Maybe if we'd won more than 1 league game all season their win bonuses would have cushioned the loss of wages a bit more.

From a situation where they should have been getting our sympathy they've actually made me angry. At the moment if they carried round a bucket 90% of the squad would be going home with nothing. If it was performance related pay they'd be owing us refunds.

Not sure why the players are holding a meeting tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure previous squads (with more than 1 win from 24 league matches) were paid late as well without nearly as much fuss as this lot.
I do not make to many comments on this site ,but your surgestion that the players are making to much fuss about payment show how some fans are removed from reality.

Can’t blame them, I’d strike from my job if I hadn’t been paid.

The circus continues.

It’s the Daily Mail again. As we’ve noted before they one hundred perfect have a source. I firmly believe this is the case
