You guys...

Orient away in Jan 2001. We won 2-0, thanks to a man of the match Leon Johnson display, and 2 Ben Abbey goals. David Ellaray was the referee as well.

More like John Spencer for his over-zealous & inciteful celebration in front of the away-end!
Yeah, remember that mouthy little tw&t very well.

That game was bloody freezing cold as well and we got outplayed on the pitch.

That was the day I finally realised our Division 1 bubble was definitely about to burst (although the 6-1 reverse at Palace a couple of months before had the alarm bells ringing).

Also, remember going into a pub around the corner from Loftus Rd & it being crammed full of Southenders, if only I'd known as many people then as I do now (thanks to here). We'd probably have thought sod the game, lets stay in the warm for many pre-Xmas pints!

My first away trip was Col******r the year they went out of the league. (Thought it was before 1990 though)

It was at this game I heard my still fav song heard at a football match.
"One team in Essex in the merry month of may"

Nice chips as well..
That was a cracking night, twas just a few weeks after our 3-2 cup defeat there wasn't it? Fantastic support behind the goal - felt more like a home game. It was after this game that I really believed we'd win a 2nd straight promotion.

The Springbok if I recall correctly. Yes, the atmosphere in there was cracking
